Apparently Jaza on SFC is suggesting we are gonna be pooling money on a foreign striker for next season.

Thats going to be an interesting race. If Nik keeps knocking a few in every now and then it might be a one horse race.

Mrdja is also just generally a much better player, and isn't a donkey. Mrdja has skill, but has been ravaged by injury and perhaps lack of heart. The other one is just a big tall guy ... Who's tall, and stuff.

Dmac has never been a goal scorer throughout his career. Sadly, he now cant even play as a target man and hold the ball up for others.

Hope this isn't at the expense of another LB or the loss of Wee Mac or Travis.

I'm not concerned.
I think Lawrie has proven he has a very discerning eye and will be well aware of where he will need to strengthen the squad.

He doesn't waste money or spots if he doesn't see the need. Seems to clearly know the difference between a diamond in the rough and time waster. Nor does he rush into premature signings - and always seems to have a very clear idea as to how they will fit into the squad.

2 spots not filled, and we look to have one of the best squad depths in the league.

I am sure that it would be a huge step back. If he fulfilled one ounce of the hype he has had he would be a good player. Alas - that has not been the case..

Dmac is more of an assisting player than a goal scorer.

But like Brisbans Van the man said in an article this week, as a striker it does not matter how well he plays, if at the end of the day if he has goals next to his name he will be wanted more than without.
