ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I don't think we can continue blaming the manager. The problem is we've got a whole heap of NPL level players, who in all fairness to them have tried their best but probably aren't going to reach A-League skill level. What we need to do is sign a manager/keep mulvey for a period longer then 1 year, get rid of the dead weight/players that are just here for a paycheck, let the manager build his team on the budget available and hope to god our finances improve in the future. That's the only option. We have no other option from what I can see.

While I agree with you that it's definitely not all down to the manager and we face significant hurdles other A-League clubs don't, Mulvey and his recruitment has contributed. Having at best two visa players playing every week makes it incredibly difficult to compete, especially when at least 2 of our 4 are not any better than regular Australian players. Mulvey had plenty of opportunities to mould his squad how he wanted in pre-season but he recruited poorly and is paying the price. I am not advocating for his removal, and we definitely need to keep him around as long as we kept Walmsley around, if only to ensure that prospective future coaches understand they will get a proper opportunity to reverse our fortunes.

Agree whole heartedly JP, in my eyes he at least gets next season as well. If he can’t right the ship then nice knowing you MM. a knew Manager now would still have the same team and more than likely no Jan window options so what would be the point. Season is gone and maybe but I doubt it perhaps we can jag a win or two.

Not expecting a lot of action in January, but there must be massive changes for next season. Many are coming off contract, one or two I would like to keep, but think we will may have to battle to keep them.
