ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Used to be a simple game when I was a a kid.
Both teams had numbers 1-11 and 12 was the sub.The numbers all indicated a position ie 11 was left winger, 7 was right wing etc.Both teams would line up in 2-3-5 formation with the idea to punt it to the forwards as fast as possible.
Then they introduced wierd things like 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 and a second sub called number 13 and it just got worse from then on.
Now we're watching a rabble in green and gold with strange numbers on their backs who don't know where to go or what to do!
It's the numbers.......I'm telling you......it's the numbers!

What the f#*k was that. im ashamed to be represented by a team that plays like that. was that matt mackay or his brother in the midfield. surely he doesnt give the ball away at every touch normally. im moving to new zealand.
