This needs to be updated with Jesse leaving.

Our analyst (not-listed because part-time) was poached by Sydney for their Head role too. I'm told we'll get someone in remotely.

Excellent work middy.
Note that it's MacDonald, not McDonald.

^^^^^ Guessing salary and how much we have left
Salary cap details https://www.a-league.com.au/salary-cap-system
Salary cap min spend is 2, 635 million, these are my guesses

3 Keepers, ... Mentor, Kennedy 100 for Pearce, 42 Gauci 42 === 202
6 Backs ........ Mentors, Golec, 120 Cissee 300 for Clisby 120 … McGing..62. Rowles ...62 Aspropotamitis---62 == 722
9 Mids .......... Mentors, Hiariej 300, McGlinchey 100 for Berry 42, Melling 62 Pain.80.. Mario Shabow 42 Matthew 42 Millar..42 .Kekeris.42. O'Neil 90 === 800
5 Forwards....Mentor, Matty S 80 for Hoole, 80.... Gamerio ..80... Josh McDonald 62 … Jordan Murray 62 === 364

Keepers 202
Backs 722
Mids 800
Forwards 364

Total == 2, 088

Hi all, first time poster.

Regarding the salary cap, bear in mind that home grown players, one mature age rookie, scholarship players and loyalty players count outside the cap. Loyalty players must have played 5-10 consecutive seasons at the club, so not sure if this allows for the player leaving and coming back (i.e., Simon and McGlinchey). 4 players through the youth system can count as home grown (i.e., Kekeris and Pearce). Either Macdonald, Murray or Millar could be considered as a mature age rookie. Gauci's contract (up to $60k) is counted outside of the salary cap as a scholarship player.

Obviously we still have to reach the cap floor but it's worth considering that there may be more money available if (big if) MC is to use it, plus you'd imagine the majority of O'Neill's salary would be covered by Burnley. Maybe this is just me trying not to panic :unsure:

I think you're very short on some guys.
Mcging recently re-signed. Likely upgraded deal. 75+?
Weemac 120-175
Shabow 62
Melling 80+
Millar 62
O'Neill NFI
Simon 100+
Hoole 100+ cos he's arrogant.

Middy, there's NO WAY in the world that Mcging is on minimum wage.

Would have to be on $100k minimum, when you take into consideration that he first signed on in 2015 (most likely then on min wage)

As well as .....
- just resigned in JAN 2018 a contract extension of an additional 2 years

(Edit: ... you can blame Okon for that :oops:)

Couple more decent signings and we'll be competitive enough

Until we receive a red card or an injury (or our current injuries don't recover well/in time) - then we have major problems

Sydney had the same concerns last year although their starting 11 was class. Scratch the surface and there was nothing underneath except one Clarky in a superman outfit
