So I'm getting the picture that Moss is really trying to go exactly the way ADU did last year. Similar style. I was pretty peed off after Saturdays game but I think I've calmed down a little. Prepared to Moss a bit more time. Have a look at ADUs start to last season. Remember the roasting Gombau was getting from his fans and media? Looks very similar to us, don't it?

On paper similar with the exception that Adelaide were scoring goals. If you go back and watch the games Adelaide were actually playing pretty good football, it was worlds apart from where we are.

I agree, people stuck with them because they saw the beautiful football they we're trying to play. It all came down to some poor luck in a lot of those early games. I love watching Adelaide play, such a good team to watch.

I can't see any vision for the future watching CCM play, it is impossible with Moss changing the starting line-up every week and playing players out of their usual positions.. Doesn't seem like a team who are aiming for anything, only desperately trying to find something. We used to be known for playing the same team week in week out and still had incredible players sitting on the bench raring to get on the field. Now no one is sure who the starting XI are or who is getting dropped for god knows what reason.

Also, keep in mind that we're trying to do things on the cheap... a shoe-string budget... the smell of an oily rag etc.

I am still prepared to give Mossy the benefit of the doubt, but the way he cracked under pressure on Sunday really worried me. We can't afford to sack him, so no point really considering that option.

If only 1 of our 3 attacking foreigners had have turned out on par with broich, Carusca, cirio, keogh, marinkovic, barisha, finkler, kalfallah, duff, dimitrjevic, janko... Etc

Mossy needs at least a half to full season before we consider any changes

Moss is going to get at least that much, and more. And imho so he should! It's a 3 year plan, isn't it? 1st. year to get personnel right and understanding between personnel. 2nd year to get team tactics and tactics vs. oppo. teams right. 3rd. year to hit the opposition hard and win!

OK I have posted this before ... but lets see how year one has gone .. new personal Mane, Sim, Kim, Bosnar, Cernak, Vernes, Poscoliero, Trifiro, these are the players we have brought in the replace, Sainsbury, weemac, Berine, Olly, Dutchie, Kawsie, Macka..

Is this a pass or a fail...

2nd year to get team tactics and tactics vs. oppo. teams right

Waiting to see the new tactics...

He would say he has a 3 year plan wouldn't he.....as he has a 3 year contract.

Personnel wise he hasn't done very well at all so far.

Massive fail.
Vernes might turn out to be decent.
Triffiro is probably his best signing so far.

Yeah, he's an abysmal failure, isn't he? Talentless, totally. GA and AP were obviously mistaken when they chose him as their assistants over all other Australian coaches, yes? You guys are qualified coaches, aren't you? Got your Pro-Dip Licences, haven't you? If you have then I may be prepared to pay a bit more credence to your more hard core criticisms. Until then, c'est la vie.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The recruiting I am not happy with are Bosnar and Mane and Sim. I think Kim seemed to deliver more than Flores for us last year but has gone missing this year. Trifiro has been okay as has Poscolierio and Cernak has been ok as a squaddie as well.

I still have high hopes for Vernes as well as Kalik and Rose.

Whenever the owner/board state that they have complete confidence in the coach, quite often that means he's on the way out.
As a 'frinstance, when did the Board of BRFC publicly say that MM had their full confidence? As a matter of fact, breaking news. MM's Assistant Coach, Ron Smith, has just resigned. Obviously a new broom sweeps clean, etc.
Anyhow, in general, I think that you're drawing a long bow saying that. It's one of those urban myths I think.

Not an urban myth, I've seen it too often. I'm not implying anything about Mossy's position here, or that he's about to get shafted. Also I'm not implying that every sacking is preceded by a "complete confidence", just saying it happens quite often.

Are you sure you aren't miss-posting in this thread? "I have complete confidence in ... (eg. the Minister)" is a prelude to sacking often heard in politics and belongs in this thread. ;)

Hope somebody has told all of the other teams not to change their tactics and styles of play during our 3 year plan given it seems to take us 2 years to work out how to play them.

So, based on tonight's team performance, who here now thinks that the squad shows real potential under Mossy's guidance?
