hence why I havent commented on Newcastle- they got some nice players in startin 11 but no depth...but I still am unsure of how they will go- (partly coz they still got 5-8 signings left to make). I think anywhere from 3rd-7th(lol at the exactness of that guess)
However most people on here seem to think that Melb have a lot better in them than 7th! Hence why i challenged your prediction! AT, Allsoppm Fernandez, Pondeljak- sooo much quality for MV!
Same situation with mariners- elrich, caceres, jedi, boogs- potential winners- and almost definite top 4.
You may disagree with our thoughts on mariners- possibly bias on either our behalf o maybe yours (for thinkin 6th place).
However MV will definately outplace Jets and others- top 2 finish IMO

RE: Jets coming last

Okon or Durante? Okon

Bridge or Rodrigeuz? Rodrigeuz

Mulsalik or Carle? Carle

We aint got nuthin as bad as last year

Apart from carle i didnt see them as big losses.
But, if it wasnt for 14 goals from sack whack, where would newcastle have finished? They may have won the final, but if griffiths was injured, where would they have gone?

What if he leaves? What if he gets injured? They need someone who can score. If they cant find it, they will struggle.

Season 2 they were not a one man team. Season 3 they got really close to being. If they continue the trend in season 4 they are going to need a whole lot of luck.

you're not comparing like for like though.

last year you replaced okon through griffiths. this year you've got no replacement for durante.

the musialik/carle choice is a false one, for a start they were there concurrently and they don't play the same position.

the rodriguez/bridge thing has the issue that you had bridge while rodriguez was there too.

last year when you simply didn't replace rodriguez or carle, the goals dried up. you got *very* lucky that c**tface had a record breaking season. and that the defensive unit were tight as a fish's arsehole.

this year you've added nothing to the goalscoring while taking away from the defence. you've got a fair while til the season, but we're starting preseason in what, 3 weeks? we're also able to spend something like $475k more than you lot in player negotiations because our board aren't being dickheads with service agreements.

you're investing in kids not because of con having any deep-seated belief in youth (else coveny, okon, millicic, covic and jardel would never have been seen in jets shirts) but because you can't afford to play with the big kids in the player market.

last year was bad, and you folks got lucky. i don't expect the same thing to happen again without some tremendous signings happening in the very near future, but i'd guess that the likelihood of good signings is about the same as the likelihood of big losses in the form of one or other of the griffiths brothers or jade north.
