Unsung I've seen here but McGing was earning plenty of praise from within Bay16 last nite.
"McGing !"
"Who was that .. McGing !"
"Was that McGing again ? .... Yes !"

Bay 16 giving praise is a rare thing. Proves he had a good game.

Finally got around to watching the replay. Just a couple of things that have not been already said.

In the first half City were a much tougher opponent than the Nux or SFC, but we still went to the break 1-0 up. It makes me think this should have been our third win.

City may have had chances to come back and score but so did we.

O'Neil filled in well at center left back, but it is not his position we still need to sign another specialist centre back.

Aspro reminds me of a young Wilko and I think he could go as far.

Melling has improved markedly over the last two games. I suspect it could be due to playing next to Tommy.

We control possession well when Tommy is on the pitch, when he is absent we do not have a clue what to do with the ball in midfield.

Hoole tries but has absolutely no vision when he is on the ball and does not get back with sufficient energy. Unfortunately A-League appears to be a level above his ability.

It was good to get more game time into Tommy, Tommy and Aspro's legs.

I now want to see is take all our chances and smash someone 4 or 5 nil. Hopefully soon.

Rod,

After hearing of you lording it about with the classy Scotch that i was too cheap arse to buy to bring us good luck.
I decided to crack a bottle of Penfold's St Henri shiraz that i was given for Christmas to celebrate a Mariners win...........and it was pretty ordinary.

So if we win on Sunday i will buy a bottle of Belvenie and sneek it in to the next home game with some shot glasses for bay 16 and 17 to have a drink.

Probably too hot a day for a red. I have never had a St Henri I did not like. Mind you, the prices Penfolds charge these days I would not waste my money.

If we win on Sunday. I will slip something good into my hip flask and join you at the following home game.

Kennedy actually played his best game for us tonight...
Ok I`ll re-phrase"
Two weeks ago against Sydney for a start and even our last City game. Don’t make me go through the abomination that was last season but I am certain there were many better than his mistake ridden game tonight.

How can three saves make it your best game for the club? Two were at very saveable hip height, for which one of those he should have claimed the cross.
Didn`t he also save at least 2 above head height as well?

I got 3 bottles for Chrissy. (excluding the 24 i purcahsed lol)

1st one average but above Taylor's level.
2nd one ....omg it was beautiful and i didnt take a picture of the label, but it shat on the St Henri's....possible a Penfold's.
3rd Bottle....Penfolds St Henri (which was suppossed to be the winner i think) was nothing more than average. I got on Jeff Fenech's table last time he came to Gosso and all the wines were Penfolds or better and i have to admit i ruining his P/L that night lol.

My staff wasted the money but for $100 a bottle it was piss poor. 2015 vintage but maybe good in 5 years time..

f**k the red wine......next home game its top drawer scotch for bay 16 and 17

Agree but it was a pissweak press because De Laut was clueless as striker.

madness that yu would play the best right back int he league at striker.

What a bizarre line-up from City...

1 goalkeeper, 2 right backs, 3 Centrebacks, 1 left back, 2 defensive mids, 2 centre mids

Would very happily share a dram of Balvenie with you if it’s on offer!
Picked up a bottle of the 14 Peated on the way back from welly... still doesn’t come close to the 12yo triple cask as far as I’m concerned which is firmly planted as my favourite scotch of the last several years.

If we beat Bris i will bring a bottle and 30 shot glasses.
Forecast predicts a tad under 30° & Wombat is the only bloke trying to get through security wearing a knee-length duffle coat. :p

Make sure you get your Mrs to video that ;)

Used to go to Leeds games and watch the girls smuggle toilet rolls (to chuck) and hip flasks in for their boyfriends.
I was in love with these rough arse but beautiful girls.

It really coincided with Tommy H losing his intensity through lack of match fitness. This allowed Bratten to finally emerge from his shackles and start to dominate the midfield. Tommy was obviously cramping and couldn't run yet Mulvey kept him on the park ten minutes too long running the risk of injury.

Tactically we also did a great job in shutting Bratten down. He is what makes the team tick and Hiariej and Melling were all over him.
Perhaps that was part of MM’s master plan? Allow Tommy to become injured and then not get shit from the fans for not picking him or playing him enough?

Just sayin’ o_O

I don’t think he’s Suicidal. And from his latest article on 442, I think he’s at the very least ‘seen the light’ with our lord and saviour.

I think either he and the bench didn’t pick it up or they were just too scared to change anything. Neither is good. But we got away with it. Unless he does himself a soft tissue injury tomorrow. If he does I’ll be blaming those extra silly minutes he had to run.
