ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So are you saying the club has withdrawn the offer to him of an A-League contract for the remainder of this season?
No - he was only ever offered (and signed) a scholarship for the remainder of this season. The full contract was supposed to be from 1 June

We need an "Infuriating" 'react' for this shite... @Capn Gus Bloodbeard hit the nail on the head... Up until this season it's been largely possible to write this shit up as inexperience and incompetence, but it's getting to a point now where all we're getting increasingly feels like lies followed by more lies... The fact resistence is as bad as any in federal politics currently, WTF is going on? Surely they can see that the club is tanking? Surely they can see that even the die-hards are on their way out?
Irrespective of what Charlesworth's plans might be, surely Shaun and the rest still have to live on the coast even if the club folds - you'd think it'd be in their best interest to be open and honest about what's going on...

I'm not sure what cut the club gets on ticket sales and how the costs scale with numbers but the drop in average attendance since 15-16 is around 2k and likely to fall a bit more before the end of the season. Doing some rough numbers I'd be surprised to see us top 5.8k average unless we do something drastic and that's assuming really bad weather doesn't wipe out any remaining home games. Terrible weather for the WSW game is the worst case scenario. Depending how the numbers stack up and what the clubs cut of ticketing is the crowd drop could plausibly be worth 250-400k over a season and thats the price of consistently poor performance. Add in whatever it's done to sponsorship as well and it makes you wonder how things are going the way they have been.

The Sheffield boys need to see the sights otherwise their time here is pointless, it's not like they are going to become better footballers.

Matt Simon has been cited by the FFA , after his 95min red card and subsequent spray of the Referee.
Wonder if Lucas will be cited for pretending to be a Referee?

Kind of expecting Matty to cop a decent ban despite plenty of other players regularly carrying on to the ref like clowns. McKay got called the ref a fcking cheat and got 1 game. Then there was this last year: https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/brosque-avoids-ban-over-spitting-incident

But being Matty and playing for CCM multiple weeks is probably how it goes. Not that I disagree it’s just inconsistent. Kind of like the pen we copped v Sydney and the ones we didn’t get on Friday.

Indeed, Brosque among others gets away with abusing Refs on a regular basis.
If Matt Simon was anyone else, would've had Two penalties awarded to him vs Brisbane. Not condoning his actions, but when you are getting hacked, shirt pulled etc and nothing something has to give in the end.

He deserves a ban - stupid prick let the club down. No one to blame but himself

Could have got his 2nd yellow for diving in the 2nd half.
