ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariner stuff not worthy of a whole thread

he would be perfect for that role. Being a club legend his return in a pretty important role could also get plenty of hardcore fans back on side
His track record of working in a non playing capacity suggests otherwise.
He has the pedrigree though but as one voice in a committee how much influence would a TD have?

Based on what we have heard, this recruitment committee will have Staj, Anton, Shaun, Monty and the newly appointed TD. My professional experience tells me that the more people at any meeting reduces the effective output so if they keep adding people the results will get worse.

Allowing previous managers to recruit has been a disaster (I'll leave Okon out as his recruiting wasnt terrible............looks at Mulvey) Plus the Bolt and McCormack decisions were easily avoidable by proper football people (or people with Google). Actually, so was Mulvey.

How will a TD/recruitment committee avoid the preventable loss of Millar? It was no secret that he was talking to the scum. People at CCM were told but no one did anything. It was openly discussed here too.Him as one winger would make us a far better side.

My point is that dumping the responsibility on a group doesnt in itself solve anything if it is merely a collection of the people who have allowed it to be a complete f**k up in the past. They are just all in one place

/end rant :)

Her other got paid for a year as part of a scam and she still slags us off? GFY
Just connecting the dots, are you suggesting we signed him to fill cap space that we knew would be covered by insurance, therefore basically meeting the salary floor for free? Genuine interest.

That actually makes total sense and I’m at all shocked about it.
I f**king love that she of all people went to town on Charlesworth. She’s not necessarily having a pop at us as a club. She clearly has a soft spot for our area after living here with Corey. She has a voice in the football public here and has used it perfectly.
She mentioned she’s written an in depth article about it. Perhaps some inside knowledge I can’t f**king wait. Charlesworth needs to caught out once and for all. Because he has taken the absolute piss for way too long. There’s no two ways about it.

Anton hopefully is loving this as we hopefully drive the price down to where he might be interested?

he clearly is in no rush to buy now but what is he getting for his investment?

first right to buy?

Should we shut down all our home games for the season and blame corana virus to save us some cash

NBA just suspended their season as a player got the virus

Here is Lucy’s expose, although there aren’t too many shocking insights imho

''But it’s become increasingly evident that the coaches and players have just been scapegoats for the greatest facade merchant of all; owner Mike Charlesworth.''

''The Centre of Excellence quite frankly is, not that excellent or conducive to the needs of professional footballers. There is no public gym and the little equipment that is provided is not sufficient for the playing group''

''The reality is, the time for promises is over and this calamitous charade must come to an end.''

Wow. No holding back.

Agree with all but the last statement about Steve Lowy saying I told you so. He's part of the problem. Frank should have abdicated and opened the position up rather than use it as a hereditary monarchy.
Same here. Who let the league stagnate? Who oversaw governance infighting, the start of metrics decline and dragged their feet on expansion to the end? That was Lowy Jr.
