ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Have we reached bottom yet?

Fantastic post, hit the nail on the head. This is what needs fixing, old mentality means fighting mentality and winning mentality. Maybe kwasnik? Don't shoot me down for saying this but he was part of that crowd and was around in the team circles throughout our success periods.

I know he couldn't score for the life of him but it's the mentality I am talking about.

He didn't do too bad in the scoring department. He's second highest goalscorer behind Matty. He was very good at slotting the difficult ones, and was very good missing the easy ones.

Lol yeah, fair point. Missing the easy ones you are dead right, scoring crazy goals that are difficult to slot in you are right too.

New Depths To Be Explored:

Charlesworth sells the club to new owners, who go about spending the money and making the signings required to turn the club around and make CCM a top 4 side each season with the major trophies to follow. Fans get to watch the team play at our iconic waterfront stadium, just as they always have, to support their team:

The Central Coast Red Bulls.

Come on you silver, blue and reds!

That's really shocking when you see the divide between WSW / Brisbane / Wellington and us. We are 3x more shit than them.

We are a ship sinking further and further each week. We've been taking on water for years, we need someone to start bailing water or we are going to the bottom of the ocean for James Cameron to explore years later.

Better than that, we need to plug the hole in the ship as we bail.

I feel that the club needs to appoint someone who specialises in turning things around. I'm willing to suggest that the specialist comes with corporate, financial or managerial experience, rather than football experience. We need a top-down review of everything we've done over the past five years and generate a new five year plan.

I guess that statement could be seen as a failure of the team owner / CEO, not doing their job effectively. We can be thankful for Pikey coming in to save us and for the effort that Shaun has put in, but here we are, the laughing stock of the league. I'm hoping that Pikey and Shaun get together in the room full of mirrors and take a look at themselves and realise that something has to change.

Sacking Mulvey or signing a play maker and a decent keeper is effectively bailing water. If one of those actions doesn't work, we will continue to sink to the bottom.

This is a great post and exactly what we need. :goodpost:

P.S. Having gone through transformations myself the idea of a quick win by signing a playmaker and a decent keeper should not be discounted.

Harry Redknapp can actually come and see where the south coast Mariners are...
He's fairly iconic for saving the furniture

My mind did think about 'arry. He did f-all for us after being appointed. Is he still on the books?
Less than f-all. I doubt he is on the books if he ever was.
I think it's evident we need someone who's more or less taken a spud team and rebuilt their confidence and developed their style.

Oh god, it would be just my luck to have my two clubs colonised.

I don't wish to steal Hammo's thunder- I just thought that mining chart needed an extra detail or two:
