ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Bok of the net! (Daily Mirror), 3 Lions in Africa (Daily Mirror), Get de beers in (The Sun), Ooh-aah Africa! (The Sun), We can win it (Daily Express), Watch out world (Daily Star), World class (Daily Mail) and Job done (The Independent) are some of the newspaper headlines after Fabio Capello's England side secured World Cup qualification on Wednesday night.

Cue being drawn in group of death and first round exit.
Would be good but better to give them something to grasp onto and then a dodgy pen in injury time around the QF's.

;D

The Ukraine/England game is only available on the interwebz, and they're charging for it here.  Suffice to say people are _not_ happy - 5 quid if you buy a 'pass' before day, and up to 13 quid right before kickoff.  The company in question (the Ukranian F.A. has sold off the rights to some random sports company) has only ever had a maximum of 50 000 people on a stream at once before, so everyone's justifiably worried about one million separate connections trying to hit a server all at once.

They say they've geographically blocked it to East Asia and other places in Europe, but no doubt there'll be a free stream somewhere.  Having said that, it's not really worth the effort, seeing as England have already qualified, and on Sky at the same time there's a _cracking_ tie between Russia/Germany in Moscow.  Winner goes straight through, loser hits up the playoff capers.  A draw sees it go down to the last game on Wednesday.  ;D

Nil all. 10 mins in. Bahrain faster. NZ more settled.

More so the leadup work - the goal itself was a typical Klose tap in from 10 yards, but the passing was niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Got the Bahrain/NZ game on a stream now.  Like watching tennis, my head keeps going from TV to computer.  ;D

Once again proving the brilliance of Football365.....

"How Norway can qualify

Portugal lose to Malta 4-0 and Sweden draw with Albania. This would put Sweden in second place in Group 1 but with 10 points (taking the two wins against Malta away) and a slightly inferior goal difference to Norway. Funnily enough, third-place Portugal would then have 13 points (due to only losing three from games with Malta) in the second-place table if they were in it. Sort of makes a mockery of the system

This is all assuming that Hungary don't thrash Denmark by loads of goals, because if they do (and the above happens) Hungary will be second in Group 1 and have a better goal difference than Norway.

Alternatively, if the giant footballing nation of Malta are only able to put three past little Portugal then Sweden will have to draw 5-5 with Albania to be ahead of Portugal on goals scored in group 1 but below Norway in the second place table on goal difference."

Pants wettlingly funny reading.  ;D
