ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Where will you be playing in 2009?

They were much better in the latter stages of the season. But I would have though Kareem would head to Man City with their new found wealth they could afford his wage demands.

Anyone used Asics boots before, I've run 4 marathons on Asics joggers and they were niiice I'm figuring their football boots would have the same comfort?

I've got new Asics for this season. Hadn't worn them before, but took the punt and got the Lethal Tigreor IT. Cost $200 from rebel and so far I absolutely love them. Extremely light, comfortable, flexible and they have awesome grip on the ball which is perfect for ball control.

Not really worried about ball control I just need them to run around in and be comfortable to wear for 4 hours or so at a time.

Stewey Petrie! I'm SOLD!

I have my boyfriends old boots as he is too cheap to buy me a new pair....

Just kidding :) Was seeing if I actually liked playing before outlaying $200

Well I am not playing for Ourimbah
looking for a new side as Ourimbah are applying to only have a 1st grade team this season (due to the lacklustre appearance or rather absence of our young reserve grade from training)
SEU (old times), Gosford (location) or Avoca (mates) look the goods
SEU sounds the go.. Gosford reserve team is full. just out of interest which mates do you have playin at Avoca? but yes Mariners Youth certainly

Dont worry- Gibbsy I'm not talking bout who you think
My mates are the 'Africans', not the old Gossy High contingent ;)
Oh and no 'reserve' team is full
I rang up all 3 includin Gosford- they have all got space in the squad...for the right player
Am I the right player? meh- I'll only know if i show up
As the Avoca coach said- If I want to play Reserves- I have to show him why I deserve to more than someone else.

Are you livin in Gosford now? judging by the location hint from your first post? tongue in cheek about our team being full, im assuming the coach want as many quality players as possible seeing as we'll be in Prem this yr. i think a fair few are playing from the "old gossy high contingent" as you would call it.

I live on Maliwa rd, 400-500m from Gavenlock- extremely tempting
Regardless in the conversation- he asked me what I wanted to play and I said Reserves or 21s. So are the Avoca guys from Gossy High changing to Gosford?

ah no there still be at Avoca.
There is possibility of 3 sides this year for Avoca if we get enough players (ie. AA1 or AA2).

I honestly think Kareem, you will struggle to make Avoca reserve grade in the middle of the park (if that's where you play) but i think if you adjust to a wider position you could easily find yourself in reserve grade.

Good luck with your decision. I'll try and back out of those late challenges on you if you do become a Sharkie. No promises though

story of my life
meh I'm a utility, I dont play anywhere tbh
striker- dont score enough (DMac style)
winger- cant dribble (but I'm small- I must be a winger :p)
centre mid- technique issues
left/right back- too small (I disagree)
Avoca looks most likely at the moment- just put my faith in the coach to bring out best in me...

Whilst everyone is posting their new boots I'll get in on the action. I don't usually spend this much on boots but couldn't resist this time.
