ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

North, Carle and McDonald cut from squad. Holland and Oar to South Africa.

I would have left Holland, and taken McDonald (I thought he did Ok last night). Pleased for the future to see Oar go.

North - should never even have made the squad in the 1st place TBH

Carle - strange. Maybe upset someone or not seen as part of future plans? Is ex scum so happy

Fat Mac - coming soon to a conference lcub near you. Simply awful.

Holland and Oar look like squad members getting experience at a tournament.

Mac isn't a bad player, he just will never get the distribution in the 'Roos that he needs to be effective. We never play two up front, and he needs that. Sorry he isn't going, but I don't think he would be effective anyway. Carle is a lump of showboating shit. North is useless.

3 strikers taken to South Africa, one being Kewell.
I agree its a bit strange. But with the players like Cahill and Holman who play in the hole that might suit.

You are a brave man to make that statement ha.
we'll be right, 1-0 wins the whole way :)

We haven't played with 2 strikers for over 2 years, so why now?

Kewell hasn't been used as a striker in over 5 years, why are we starting to call him one now??

Kennedy is the only recognised senior striker in the squad, and this worries me immensely.  (Holman, aside from being shit, is a central-attacking-mid)

We should always play 2 strikers. We have no one to hold the ball up. We havent had anyone to do that since Viduka left.

My guess is becaus ehe played the most part of the season for gala as a striker and scored a very decent return for goals.
