Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Lamps isn't afraid to shoot, it's a good thing :D
deflection is not dirty play, fark we can't help it, would Mariners of beaten Syders 3-2 season 1 without em.

Essien is a machine and it's great to have him back.
what about john O'shae(spelling) this morn, Zlatan gets past him and Rio so he just shoulder charges him down.

Only dirty thing I have rly seen Chelsea do this season is Bosingwa studs to the back of a scouse..and wait a min..I believe there was no punisment involved.

It's okay to let your bias go occasionally...... even I can admit Gerrard's second goal yesterday was quite spectacular.

Paolo - sorry dude.  :p

Gerrard scores goals just like a manufactured bubblegum pop star has hits. Doesn't mean either have "talent" at all.

lol at you saying gerrard has no talent

just lol

it would be 1 thing to say you dont like him as a player, but to deny he has talent is pathetic

god some people talk some f**king shit sometimes

Question - has anyone ever been so baffingly highly rated by so many, and yet consistently been 200% SL (Sporting Lisbon - think about it - it's gonna be a thing) than Zlatan Ibrahimovic??

Ibra did SL all in both legs, Greg Norman of the UCL thus far

Zidane Hails Gerrard As Best Player In World - football 365

Zinedine Zidane believes Steven Gerrard is the best player in the world.

The legendary former Real Madrid playmaker saw his old club dismantled by Gerrard's Liverpool on Tuesday night, when the Reds ran out 4-0 winners at Anfield, 5-0 on aggregate.

England's midfield star scored two of the goals and ahead of tomorrow's crucial trip to Old Trafford, Zidane has claimed he is a better all-round player than Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, the current holder of the Ballon d'Or.

"Is he the best in the world? He might not get the attention of (Lionel) Messi and Ronaldo but yes, I think he just might be," the former France captain said.

"If you don't have a player like Steven Gerrard, who is the engine room, it can affect the whole team.

"When we were winning league titles and European Cups at Real, I always said Claude Makelele was our most important player.

"There is no way myself, (Luis) Figo or Raul would have been able to do what we did without Claude and the same goes for Liverpool and Gerrard."

Zidane added: "He has great passing ability, can tackle and scores goals, but most importantly he gives the players around him confidence and belief.

"You can't learn that - players like him are just born with that presence."

Pretty big compliment for a bloke with no "talent" id say
