ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round 5 - Perth v CCM

Tactics have switched up nicely, we are no longer aimlessly crossing into the box.

Also sitting back and letting Perth back three sit on the ball which negates the extra man advantage.

Some good signs from Millar, nice pace and not afraid to take them on. Want more of that.
Yep, Melling's passing game is a liability. Get him off before he gives them a gift goal.

Seems to me that the biggest problem is lack of confidence.
Problem looks like structure as in there is none. Passes over hit or going to no one. When we press there is always an easy ball into gaping holes in midfield. The word before the game was we need to focus on us but to me the game plan is all about glory

Rowles and Millar were good.
Golec and Clisby were ok.
Everyone else need to f**king step it up a gear.
Apart from Econimidis they are average.

Keep our shape and disciple AND WE CAN GET A POINT OR MORE.

I don’t think the fans confidence is anything to worry about.
Being blindsided by Tom’s adsence is more to the point. Had I known I could have taken the next goal score and doubled my winnings......... the official aleague report said tom was included in the squad .... promoted.:redcard:

A new low for ccm.:vomit:
Since when does being named in Thursday's provisional squad ensure they're playing on match day? It clearly says two to be omitted.

We have some good players, we have some ok players, and we have some leftover and ordinary players who are a waste of space.

The massive turnaround and signing of a lot of new players in a short period is showing.

Time to get really brutal and leave the dross and the perhapses that are not performing on the bench and give those that have a possible future experience.

Here come some big calls plus the obvious.

Out:
Glinch
Kennedy
Melling
Simon
Hoole (late addition, he has had enough chances in the A league)

Plus if they cannot get fit and effective by Jan:
Aspro
Tommy H. (suspect the groin has been a problem since the end of last season, sometimes it takes couple of years which he no longer has.)
Gamiero
Oar
Ross (we are not good enough to carry a striker who is only effective in a good squad.)

Anyone else noticed we are shockingly bad at taking throw ins... We usually lose the ball within two touchew

I don't think this is going to happen. They're all signed.
Bit hard to get rid of them, except Tom. I think he could go.
