ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. before asking questions my first suggestion to Mike is that the answer to all the questions already asked is not to blame our situation on the recruitment (and apparent failure) of Asdrubal - that sort of response will go down as well as a 'we are going to try Canberra again' announcement

Agree. It’s a game of fine margins obviously. And so sure, if Adsrubal proved a gun, we may not be having this conversation. BUT the odds on us failing are definitely being heavily weighted by our lack of expenditure across the squad.

Even if we had Bobo I could still easily see us having had a poor season. He is not scoring all his goals by himself. And a single injury to a key player with our poor depth...has crippled us too many times this season to think it’s all about Adsrubal.

A quality striker is an imperative for any team, we MUST have one (two actually) but we still have too many other issues that always compound very quickly due to our lack of quality and depth.

My question to Mike
We know that the CoE is intended to provide long-term financial stability to the club. However, with expansion on the table and a number of strong bids being presented, there's a concern that the FFA may start to reconsider the licenses of some of the existing teams. While it's great that we have long term plans in place, what are we doing to ensure the short-term survival of the club, especially given the number of rusted-on fans that are finally starting to turn their back? If more investment in the club isn't coming from yourself, where is it coming from?

Yep. That's 2 members from this household confirmed as not renewing until Charlesworth is gone. Idiot has less-than-zero idea what he is doing and unless genuine discontent makes itself heard to the point where he sells up and leaves us alone, we'll be handing back our license in 2025.

He's just in it until the CoE is finished then he'll sell up and f**k off.

He's sold the tenanted offices so there is no cash flow. Word is he is in strife unless the council bale him out again but yes, he will f**k off the day he can

I dont believe that rumour to be true.

I believe many of the offices are tenanted but people were given the option to buy or lease, (as was I) Does anyone have any factual information in relation to revenue streams from the Office Block, Swimming pool, Soccer 5's, cafe/bar etc.
MC said ALL revenues from the COE are going straight back to the Mariners.

Pikey is not going anywhere soon. Are you serious, Serious...........that you are not going to the Football for the next 5 or 6 years?

Summary for those unable to listen or attend?

Summary.

1. No one wants to buy us.
2. FFA are holding back the development of HAL and potential buyers.
3. Pikey isn't made of money and will lose nearly $1m this year.
4. He isn't going to spend up big.
5. We are going to be smarter in how we operate.

Most of that sounds like a cop out.

The only exciting bit was Mike Mulvey.

It was also good to hear that the rumours about the COE being independent of the Mariners was false according to Pikey.

(side note...Rowdy and Erin are comfortable and articulate with a mike in their hands.....future MC's at the gosford show perhaps?
Was good to finally meet Cafe Style and Pat Jennings in person. Top chaps.)
