Could also be that they realise we have been very quiet on the recruitment front from a news perspective, a SFC fan I work with only last week said he hadn't heard anything about what CCM are doing. We all know PO went overseas so it's good to see he had some targets and hopefully pulls off at least one signing from the trip.

Also probably a good idea to tell the market we are looking at some quality so players at least know we are not looking at a bargain basement squad. These news flashes may make us a bit more interesting as a potential club to join and let's face it with the Fox Sports teams assistance our Rep has been tarnished for years. Some good PR wouldn't go astray. Shaun seems like a smart operator so planned I would suggest.

I like that theory Tevor because otherwise its complete trash. Newcastle put out in the press they were chasing every decent player by name and have signed bugger all and the fans don't trust Laurie as they see it as spin because it's always bull. They may actually chase them but you are judged on who you land.
