Rich specifically said Garangs release clause is 7 figures… if my math is correct, the $600,000 mentioned in that tweet is only…. 6 figures? I don’t want to jump to conclusions but either Rich lied or that tweet is wrong.
maybe Newcastle are paying £600,000 which would make more sense and would be activating the release.

My reading was 7 figure offers (wages, bonus, etc) to Garang but "unknown" release clause to club.

Unless I missed something, but all sources I read seemed to convey that and I don't believe Rich has given many specifics as to dollar figures relating to players.

The reports I have seem to indicate $600,000. While Richard was announced in May and Garang's first contract was June he didn't get approval from the FA until after Garang's contract was signed. However, since then we have last Birraz, Rowles and now it seems Garang all for 'decent' fees. The problem comes when the pipeline of prospects can't keep up with the transfers out, Garang might have been a quick turnaround but Kye was a long term project.

That said, if we have the right terms going forward with Kye and Garang in particular they could continue to provide decent income for a while.
