Cumdog barely made it into contention so it’s hard to see Alou joining as well right now. His time will come if he performs well as a bunch of current players are getting on a bit.

It could be misdirection, the journo may have unwittingly been used to scare off other potential buyers. I know it sounds far fetched but I believe it would happen.
Also even if the numbers were true does anyone think Alou would come out and say it is. Just a reminder Garang is 17, has played very few games and was just called up by the socceroos (if I remember Alou's numbers were pretty similar at one point) , now that's not to say he doesn't deserve it. But in perspective, if I was Arnie and I was approached by NUFC and asked to play him so as to assist in him getting a visa, it's a pretty big given I'd be doing it to allow for player growth.
I know these are conspiracies I just think the story has too much info to not have some sort of angle.

Isn't that how Cummings is dealt with, he played a few friendlies for Scotland but not competitive matches so he is eligible for Aus.
