ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

As long as we don’t see the 4-2-2-2 again. Between Nisbet, Stensness, Olly & DDS we have a few options and some flexibility to manage short turn arounds that seem like they’ll be here for the early part of the season.

What position do you see as Ollies starting spot? Assuming Nizzy is apprentice CDM again.

Olly still has the legs (Perhaps not the quickness anymore) to fill a few different central roles and it depends how staj wants To use him.
If in fact we play with the typical 2 CDM’s I reckon it’ll be a olly/Stens partnership. Definitely not discounting nizzy at all. But I think Stens and nizz will fight for the partner spot if staj actually plays that way.

he could use olly in Milan’s more advanced role and still get a lot out of him.

We currently have 11 announced players all Australian, if we’re picking up a local 10 as mentioned above that takes us to 12 without using any visa spaces. If Ziggy returns we still have 4 to work with. I can’t help wonder if we’ll use the opportunity to look at some NPL based visa players like the wolves striker popa hired to watch his kids play.

Must be Daniel Bouman then.

That move would make a lot of sense for both parties. Gives him a proper chance to push for retaining his place in the squad for the Olympics (if it goes ahead) and a talent we could hope to earn a fee for in the future.
