ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Have we reached bottom yet?

Have we reached the bottom yet? Not while we continue with a lack of spend and an incompetent gaffer.

And these have been debated to death.

I think Mulvey choosing not to re-sign Tommy marks the lowest point in our club history and truly indicates that the lunatics are running the asylum.

As it stands sixteen players to sign.

We should be aiming at Melling, Simon and Mcglinchey being bench options. Melling starting might be ok if we have a quality core around him (at least CB, AM, other DM) and clearer distribution channels. If Simon remains our starting striker our position is not going to improve much. Can't see DDS ever coming back but for what he's costing he needs to be a starter or out the door, given his performance with Sydney so far he could be problematic when we get low balled for loans.

With Oar injury prone and considering the other 4 are not quiet there for starting.

Ideally all 11 starting players should be new!

Except Aspro if he stays.

Simon, Melling, Rowles, Mcglinchy, Shabow, Ingham, Kekeris, Nisbit, Glassock and Gaimero would make for good subsistutions and squad depth.

Really need to release/pay out Mcglinchy and Oar to free up money for within cap players.

Need to splash some money on Krishna but try and get him as a mentor and bring Singh and Cacace as well to support him on a medium wage to support a core plan for a couple of years.
And so our team can start well with some already functioning partnerships.
Sell our connections and use us as a 2 year stepping stone for Singh & Cacace.

Also use the up for grabs Captancy as an incentive to get a good player here to lead the team.

Not sure who’s doing the selling and negotiating but not looking good so far.
Maybe they should invest in a third party company for brokering/selling our club and closing deals.

How embarrassing is that.
It's not that bad. NPL clubs increase their points by beating other NPL clubs and the odd FFA cup game against an A league side, and if I understand ELO correctly they're not really punished much in those points for losing a game they'd be expected to lose but score a win and they get a nice boost. Thats not to say some of those clubs wouldn't roll us but I wouldnt be taking it too seriously.

Honestly though - could we beat Bentleigh Greens if we played them right now? I wouldn't put money on it
