ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

f**king wackos. Honestly, they look *very* well placed to go up.

Meanwhile in the same division, United have started taking water with successive defeats while successive wins put Forest right in the mixer.

6-9 months overdue IMO.

Rumors are around that Gibson is having problems in his personal life and may be looking for an experienced manager that can be left alone and get the job done. Personally I think he was on the outer since the loss to WBA 2 home defeats since then on top of that. I suspect there will be a very short turn around between this and a new manager being announced.

Hardly, 7 points (including last nights performance) in the last 6 games, a loss last night would of put us in 11th spot or some such position. Three home defeats as well in those 6 games.

Have heard at least one person suggest that the announcement was left to allow Southgate to go out on a high note.

Ok interview with the chairman has been put up overnight, or today for james.

quick summary:

- decision was made 2-3 weeks ago, pretty much after the loss to Leicester City at home. No result was going to change it.
- lag was due to a strategy to find a replacement being drawn up
- Gibsons opinion is that the league position flatters the performances and as such something needed to change
- We have played 5 teams in the top half of the table atm, with a record of won 1 lost 4 and simply if that was to continue then we will not be promoted and that is the aim preferably in an automatic spot.
- Will not have a new manager for the game on Saturday but hopefully an announcement will be made by the weekend.
- More than likely will be a manager with experience.
- Something needs to be done to unite the club, supporters and the town.

Interesting side note was that the Derby game was the first league attendance under 50% capacity at the riverside

I wonder how Jim Magilton must feel, sacked by Ipswich who weren't doing that badly... and doing alright with QPR while Ipswich are sinking under Roy Keane.

Then again, Tranmere sacked Ronny Moore in favour of John Barnes, who inevitably fails and gets the boot. And Moore goes back to Rotherham.

Only a matter of time for Keane and Rodgers.

AKA The Bitters (we're a huuuuge club we are)
Fulham, use their stadium for their bigger matches don't they ?  ;)

The Stade De Lofte?

Capacity circa 400,000 so the bitters would have us believe.

Shittiest area too - right alongside the S Aftrica Rd estate - not nice

Thoughts on the manner in which the goal was scored??
I dont see a real problem in it...even if he was not injured and was able to get up straight away its not like he would have been involved in the play anyway as the ball would already be 10+m away.

p.s Toon at times played some very sexy football

Bingo.  Press conference on Sky after the game had the Dee Daa's coach whinging all night long about "injustice this and no goal that and the ref should have pulled the game up blah blah blah" - yeah, no....

IN the end the ball ended in the back of the net so i dont really care. We just need 3 points to get back where we belong.
