Central Coast Mariners squad - 2010/2011 HAL season

All correct except for the last point. I never said that player was young.

Add to that the possibility of another player moving on (not talking about Mrdja) and the possible Sainsbury situation and that is a fair summary.

Arnie is certainly freeing up cap space but you would also think that McGlinchey, Bojic and the impending Wilkinson re-signing would all be on upgraded contracts for next season shrinking cap space..

Despite this it would point to one or two quality players being added to the squad this January. Arnie didn't have time to move around preseason too much but he is certainly exerting his influence now.

Is making for a very busy and interesting January.

Sweet as, thanks for the info Mick and Deej.

This is totally unexpected and is making for an exciting Jan and Feb off the field. It does get deflating watching other teams aquire signings and knowing that you don't have the buying power to match them. But when it does happen it gets really exciting.

Kind of like any new signing at Everton!

in all probability you can add kwas, wee mac, dutchy and wilko for next season leaving twenty players... possibly lewis making twenty-one

possibility of mcbreen going so that leaves us with both player and cap movement for next season with van stratten, doig, mcbreen and mrdja chewing up a chunk a cap (not so much the latter)

of couple of these spaces will be youth players such as fitzgerald, bernie or munro, leaving us dollars to invest in a couple of real quality players to bolster the team

Yes Mick, all those players are close to re-signing, not sure on Lewis though?

Should we see McBreen move on along with Doig and Mrdja I guess GA would be looking for a quality forward and centreback to cover Dutchy and Wilks.

Don't know what Van Stratten, Doig, McBreen and Mrdja are on, but I'm imagining dutchy and wee mac might be upping the ante a fair bit with their pay, so perhaps not a huge amount of additional cap if those guys manage to drive a tough deal. I'm not sure the Mariners management would bend over though as I can't recall them paying significantly more money to retain any player so far - so let's hope a deal can be struck.

Wouldn't be a Maltese club, surely. Not enough money for them to offer anything decent. It's a semi-professional league. Only Valletta could possibly offer enough.

Gallagher is a left sided player. Played CB for 19s unational team, but on Fifa11, he is a LB? :p
But IMO if Rose is out. Shift Bojic to left, and put Trent on the right.
Bojic is just that awesome!
