ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

"Don't choke"
Apparently their coach was giving it to them after the game for losing their discipline and biting back to the "f**kwits on the sideline". Hah.

I loved the centre forward giving you guys the "Dodd shrug" miliseconds after his brain said ..."dont give them the finger".

I swear no one in the club knows how to defend. Time to bring Dutchy back in to help the coaches.

From what I have seen, the Academy and CCF hold joint trials in each age group. Mariners Academy selects the players they want and then CCF, Soccer 5s really, select their squad from those players not selected by Mariners Academy.

Cheers

So effectively a lower division, B team if you like

And both draw from all the clubs across the coast?

Effectively yes - but it must be remembered that not all talented players trial for these teams for one reason or another - cost, parents commitment to travel to train up to 3 nights a week and travel to Sydney every fortnight would be the main factors.

FNSW Youth Competitions are 3 tiered - NPL1 Youth (for NPL1 & NPL 2 clubs - CCM Academy teams fall here), NPL2 Youth (for NPL3 & State League clubs) and then Association Youth League (Clubs are run by the various associations - CCF teams fall in here).

Thanks appreciate that. Here's hoping they beat my mates son's team who are proping up the ladder
