Seeing how pissed off and mad some people are around the socials about us winning is absolutely glorious to me. It's so nice.

It's way better than all those years of being pitied.
Being coached by that "when am I going to get a winning team POOPAVICH

No mention that Chapman lashed out with his boot trying to kick the ball out of Torres hand. That's why he then copped the shoulder from Torres
He’s a straight up wanker with the same wanker shaved in combover haircut from 2014. He’s always been shit too, coasted by for years on the back of his “immense potential” in youth footy, done shit all since. Best thing Charlie Austin did in this league was blast him infront of those cameras, it was all true. Yeah our boys are phenomenal at winning those sly free kicks but you’d be hard pressed to see one of our boys try get someone sent like that, twice.

Sorry, had to vent. ??
As you were

Its a funny anomaly.

Us being probably the weakest we've been in defence all year ( well on paper anyway). Probably forced Jackson to concentrate on a structured defence and Counter gameplan, which is exactly the type of football Popa and the Vuck struggle to play against.

By necessity, we were forced to inadvertantly play to Vucks major weaknesses.

This isn't to take away from the victory, our ball movement was next level, just a step up. This is just my perception of what MJ was compelled to do, and how he executed ( along with the players) perfectly.

If this doesn't convert the non believers to back to back nothing will..

I am struggling to put into context just how big tonight’s result is but it’s importance is certainly not in doubt.

Our boys were utterly immense in that game and the coaching staff got their tactics absolutely spot on under the circumstances.

There were so many heroes throughout that performance which was an incredibly gutsy effort off the back of a tough period of multiple games.

This period has seen the team juggle multiple challenges and come through with flying colours, even if they might have unfortunately slipped up against SFC.

Hopefully the boys can recover well this week and bring home of the bacon against the Jest next up.

COYY ??

Absolutely amazing effort. Everytime we looked shaky or tired we found away not to concede and overall we were more dangerous than them.

Great work by Niz not to waste a goal. Keep it for when we need it.

Not a fan if VAR getting involved in the Koul one but so good to see Victory tears.

Unbelievable win and such a nice feeling when I convinced myself a loss would have been acceptable due to our schedule. Loving giving the Vuck fans heaps on socials. I thought the drive bye fans were bad the last month but the Vuck fans are next level.

The Doka haters must now be not posting for two weeks!!! Just kidding.

Love how even Niz is taking the piss out of himself for his two misses. Thank the football gods that wasn’t for the win. Wish it did go in just to make Izzo’s decision to go up a stupid one.

Chapman would have to be the biggest grub in the league closely followed by Marcelo. His dive to get Torres in trouble was comical and should be rubbed out of the game. Gives the knuckle draggers ammunition against our game.

Great post. Agreed entirely. Watched the game back this evening and had much the same thoughts.

Much easier to watch now than live when l was hiding behind the lounge, shouting, swearing, shaking and sweating every moment of those last 15 minutes.

I'll just do a lineup rate f**k it

Danny - 7/10. Class with his distribution, didn't have much to do but when called upon, his experience and quality made things very safe

Doka - 9/10. Best game for us in our shirt. Playing on the left and won the battle against Arzani. Should've had an assist too. Defensively solid.

Hall - 7.5/10. Strong and solid performance. Really loving his consistency this season. Finally back to his best.

Kaltak - 8.5/10. Brick wall. Would not trade him for any other CB in the league. Wins everything in the air.

Paull - 7/10. Nearly cost us when Arzani nicked the ball off him but other than that l thought was solid and covered well on the left. Good tackler.

Roux - 7.5/10. Another quality, consistent performance. Aging like fine wine. One of the beat RB's in the league

Maxi - 8.5/10. Tremendous as usual. Always goes with the right option when under pressure. Recycles the ball, but never afraid to drive through midfield to set us on our way. Class.

Tapp - 8.5/10. An able partner for Maxi in the middle. A proper no.6 who does the dirty work and is also good on the ball taking the right option majority of the time.

Torres - 7/10. Worried MV on the counter, not his best game, but l liked his combination work with Doka. Those 1,2's created space and crossing opportunities

Nis - 7.5/10. Mr. Consistent. Just did what he usually does. The stamina on this man is insane. Should've scored but game was won so oh well.

Edmondson - 5/10. Barely had a touch first half but not entirely his fault. Had some chances on the counter but still adapting to the league

Kuol - 6.5/10. Should've tucked that chance away. Still not back to his best but did well to worry MV defenders and get 2 of em sent.

Di Pizio - 5/10. Glad that giveaway in added time and then foul didn't cost us. But he's young and will learn.

Barcellos - 0/10. Fastest red ever. Great impact.

Club staff - 100/10. To win this game and break such a long hoodoo after a physically and mentally taxing game 3 days previously is a credit to them. Well done all.

If you got this far, thanks. I'm done.

We’ve seen a few teams just go full arm tackles and grabs to try stop Torres go unpunished and he is so strong he pushes them aside and keeps going through them.

They are not football tackles and should be punished. They are going to hurt him.

We know Torres has that nasty streak retaliation but can you really blame him but he will be the one punished for the shit the opposition is getting away with.

That and these grab tackles to stop a break need to be red cards like SFC on city on Friday where Burgess just grabbed someone just before the box. SFC get to set a wall and stop exciting play. It’s so annoying

Post in thread 'ALM round 19 CCM vs VUC Sun 5pm Away' https://www.ccmfans.net/community/threads/alm-round-19-ccm-vs-vuc-sun-5pm-away.7168/post-381475

So Poppa never once says Mariners played well or are a good team but our coach praises Victory as a good team, class right there.
He’s been found out again. He sets good defenses but has always had a terrible attack. He tried to be Ange in ripping a journalist about the Arzani being subbed question last week and looked like a dick.

I think he said more nice things about us in the lead up.

It’s on him that his team has no attacking threat against a well organised defence.
