ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Japan's attitude to their game is the clincher and cannot help but think the Saudi's are in the box seat for this

I know it goes against their ingrained culture, but what's to stop Japan from doing a 'Nick Kyrgios' & 'tanking' this game ???

Factor in the sweltering heat & I can see quite a few Japanese players asking themselves 'why bother' ??

They have nothing to prove
...... they're already going to Russia 2018 !

I had a gut feeling that Ange might: Postecoglou drawing on Cockerill legacy

Great way to honour Cocker's by going back to 'his' white socks, that he brought about, as well as honour Les with a moment of silence for them both.

Last week in Japan wouldn't have felt right to have a moment of silence for Mr Football, goid decision from the FFA.

At LCB
Spiranovic out,
Bailey Wright in
- Is a BIG worry for me, slower and waaay shittier on the ball - can't be compared to Spira in that dept.

Degenak coming in at RCB
moves Millsy moves to DM , where he SHOULD BE.

LWB
Smith out
Gersbach in,
again he should've started against Japan.

Troisi out
Cahill in
will hold up the ball better for Rogic

Kruse out
Juric in
much more intention for goals with that move.

Just hope Ange will recognise that Millsy should play predominantly on Wright's LHS
- Bailey's he's going to need his good defensive reading of the game.

So close but so far. Now panicking and going for hero ball. Stick to the plan.

If you play Timmy it needs to be as lead striker with crosses to him.

Wasted in this position and same for City. Still hits the post like a champion though. Should of layed that one he blazed over to rogic

Ball movement .... too slow, just like last game.
Some players taking too many 'unnecessary' touches, because at times they're having to look up too much due to
....... not enough player movement from player's in attacking third.
- Adjust those things just a tad, and hopefully the goals will come.

The plethora of corners need to have a better quality of delivery, and shield off someone other than Cahill (let him draw defenders) to score one unmarked.
