Matchday 12 v Entitlement FC

I think the strongest match day squad is beginning to become obvious.
Birraz
Miller, Hall, Rowles, Farrell
Nizz, Ballard, Ollie, Goddard
Cummings, Urena

Bench possibles and probables:
Ruon, Storm, Steele, Nkololo, Moresch

Anyone I've missed who should be on the bench in front of those 5?

That is a squad which should be able to match it with any other in the League.
I'm not sure between Ballard and Steele. But everything else I agree completely. You have forgotten Muller

Pretty well agree with everything you've posted today AM. Think beni and moresche are still to prove their value.

Really hope RT can get fit and sort himself out. He looks really cooked atm.

@Dobbie you asked me what my 11 would be, this is pretty f**king close, just a Simon and a Muller away from complete

Who are you leaving out for Simon (hasn't played all season so not sure how you're starting him) and Mueller (first game this season was today)?

I was thinking during the game today that RT might be one of those players that's really good with regular game time and declines quickly without it. Whether that's fitness or confidence or both... this guy was challenging for a socceroos call up and we were seriously impressed... now he's bench.

I would like to see Tongyick have a run at 6 for a half just to see how he handles it..... other than that agree..

Cummings on todays display would tear this league apart... the shot he had in the first half saved by the keeper was amazing...

As a side note..... SFC ... Keeper... Central Back and Captain.... there two attacking mids... and their striker all developed in the Mariners academy.... the lack of internal A-L and NPL transfer payments is a F.....ing disgrace .... five SFC starting players developed in the Mariners and no fee.... I think us AU, Jets & Roar carry the other sides especially us and AU...

Disagree. Niz, whilst good out wide, is so much more influential in CM but I don’t see him getting past one of Monty’s favourites, Harry Steele.
Moresche being on the wing today, I think was a late call… didn’t deserve to be dropped so was accommodated. Perhaps with atleast a week of working in that area he’ll be more influential.
Steele was one of the problems. He killed our go forward 90% of the time he got the ball.

He also didn't screen the back 4 very well. I see a very good player but he is not up to a starting berth atm.

My concern with Cummings is SFC have about 10 players off contract next season and will have some serious cash to splash around and I cannot help but think Corica would have liked what he saw of Cummings. He struggles to find his own players so would not be surprised if they make a play for him.

This is also the case with some of our up and comers, we need to lock these boys down so we can offer them overseas not fill Corica’s team next season. When I read the article it seriously concerned me and if we can retain players for next season.

Honestly? Ams couldn’t even see Tinkerbelle tip the fkn ball round the post in the first half, so don’t make me laugh that he was capable of spotting anything in the lead up to Bobo’s goal.

Ku*t Ams has to be the single most incompetent and biased referee in the history of this league.
I think an strategically placed N would fit the bill

Who better than a guy who is the VAR occasionally to know how to play the system. He probably should have checked both hand ball calls on the screen to be honest. But no he wasn’t going to let the VAR tell him anything. I’m not a violent person but I really want to punch him in the head real hard.
Then kick him in the nuts if he has any!

We've got him for this year and next

@marinermick apology, you were right, Moresche ain't going to cut it. @Dobbie no apology, you were wrong Moresche is not a starting 11 player.
Kurt Ams changed that game. He called HB on Fazz and if he didn't it doesn't get overturned. His hand was not in an unnatural position and didn't make his body bigger. Knew nothing about it. It's not handball (as i know it, you can all go and get f**ked with the rule is this and that) He forced the linesman to change his decision on the offside on Bobo and if he didn't VAR doesn't overturn it. The c**t is f**ked. Also Cap'n we're sitting together at the cup final cause I've never seen a loss and you seem to attract them so maybe I can cancel you out on Saturday.

I actually feel sorry for Moresche here. Played out of position because of squad depth/injuries/fitness and looked lost.

He will do a job for us coming on in his usual position later in the game, running at tired defences.

Steele was outstanding before Covid and well ahead of Ballard. He provided steel (pun intended) and an intensity in the centre that Ballard didn’t. He was the perfect foil for Ollie whilst Ballard was a very similar player to Ollie.

Unfortunately Covid hit him the hardest. He was the sickest.

Covid is not the flu. It causes respiratory issues, even after the illness goes away. Some people have never recovered from Covid. Hopefully this won’t be the case for Harry as he is currently a shadow of the player from pre Covid.

Covid has really f**ked our squad. We were one of the fittest in the league. Now we are struggling to play out a match.
