ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Before every home game we have a Mariners Members pre-game function on the grass next to the stadium, players not selected in the squad have to attend & mingle with fans. Cisse had to go after his red card, Rowles went after his red card, gameiro goes every week. If we decide to drop Millar (which I hope we do), will he be required to attend the pre game function with the members? f**k I hope so.

I'm Sorry but Shaun you are the CEO... seems like you are blaming the football dpt here but as a Ceo the buck stops with you... shouldn't you be playing a significant part in planning our future roster??

Agreed that Millar has shown poor form here but if we were atleast speaking to him earlier in the piece about his future than surely things play out differently? We are just inviting thieves in the night as far as I'm concerned!

Not good management at any level...

Caught sleeping at the wheel and tried to buy their way out.

Sure Millar is a dog to but he’s going I’ve heard nothing from this club and every other club is ringing. They don’t seem keen on me

Ask the question then. You have an agent for that

Sure you can but when everyone else is chasing you and your own employer is more worried about red cards are you really going to be worried about the club when they are showing no interest in you.

Also other players would be saying I’m hearing from this club or we getting nothing from ours.

It’s a bad f**k up by CCM. No other way to treat it.

For starters he’s won probably more than half the MOM awards. Why are you not locking him down early.

Time to stop believing everything the club does is right. They have been stuffing up alot

I agree however I think both the club and player are equally culpable.

Also the club can plan for meetings with councils for pie in the sky stuff. Can put out a piss weak announcement about two weeks after every one is crying out for info in the middle of the worst loosing streak.

But players who actually play nope. Not our priority right now.

Absolutely Millar could of been a man and let them know.

Obviously Millar wasn’t keen about staying as he apparently had signed weeks ago with a team who actually had a plan

I think a bit of perspective is required. Firstly, if you look at it from the players point of view, if he did in fact sign weeks ago, it was during the losing streak, McCormack had left, senior players were being dropped due to one bad performance and there was obviously tension amongst the ranks. I suspect he was also on minimum wage. If Jets came with an offer of more money why wouldnt he go.

Furthermore, training is currently held at an association run field and there is a significant lack of infrastructure at the club presently. Further to that, staff have also left the football department (strength and Conditon) and Team Manager. We talk of loyalty yet Golec is gone after a couple of bad performances and being played out position, Cisse seems to have been forced to retire, youth players aren't really been given an opportunity.

Millar probably thought the Jets seem stable, competing in the ACL and the culture under Merrick seems to be ok. Last year Roux was moved on, Wales was moved on and now they are both thriving.

Can you honestly say if you were offered more money and perks you wouldnt take it.

Elite sport is no longer about loyalty from neither club or players, the players need to do what's best for their short careers and the clubs need to also make changes. That's why it's called the A League merry go round.

I wouldnt be surprised if other young players we have move on.

We have 6 players signed for next year and DDS. So needing to wait a month to give a better offer is BS as well

Not if they were looking to sweeten the pot by increasing his current contract, which I suspect they would be.
