ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

That word must be pretty ordinary as he only re-signed at the back end of last season - this is year 1 of a 2 year contract.
my bad - i made assumptions on the contract timing. the rest - the other offers, the range of offers and the fact ccm wouldn't release - all came from a solid source

But the lack of regard for Budgie (and the fact that everyone else wants him) is a perfect example.
The sudden love in with Appi .

I saw that kid do some things last year I have not seen in a long time.

Correct me if I am wrong but he was till finishing school when the season started.

I admire Appi's work rate and commitment.... but to consider him by many as a better nay a much better player than Budgie... I think it could be some maybe upset he got a little ahead of himself and a little up himself and the club and what they have done.

Well consider Liverpool fans and Coutinho, he wanted to leave Baca big offer etc...

Clubs at times have put players in their place and then bring them back into the fold and this is what I expect will happen.

. hmm ... 10 reasons

. well after all the hype around the underwhelming kit unveiling ... i reckon the 10 reasons might be 10 sponsors stalls?

. the announcement ... the next step in the earn your/our stripes campaign

.... or maybe Cahn's replacement ???
The 10 reasons are in the article.

Preview by a Victory focused group:
Central Coast Mariners showed signs of improvement under young manager Okon in 2016-17. With threadbare resources, Okon managed to imprint a far more consistent and competitive style of football in Gosford.

Despite the loss of star striker O’Donovan to M3 rivals Newcastle, Okon appears to have acquired (at least on paper) some handy imports in Felix Asdrubal Padron Hernandez(just call him Asdrubal), Tom Hiariej and Wout Brama.

Accompanying these foreign additions, we see young Australian Danny De Silva return to the A-League. Tom Glover arrived on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and Andrew Hoolemade the far shorter journey over from Newcastle. Glover is a promising young goalkeeper who will at some point challenge another new arrival – the long-time Novocastrian Ben Kennedy.

Of most interest to the Vuck populace is the arrival of central defender Alan Baro. Many thought he was unfairly shafted by Kevin Muscat after last season. Baro will provide much needed experience in the centre of defence.

Okon has an impressive brigade of young players (Trent Buhagiar, Kwabena Appiah, De Silva) that top up the rest of the squad and due to their smaller resources compared to the rest of the league, they are the squad that will utilise younger potential. Okon is the key. If he can harness the best out of this unheralded lineup, they might just be club that surprises this season.

Central Coast’s player to watch: Asdrubal. The Spaniard should lead the line for the Mariners with 55 appearances in La Liga and is not over the hill at 26.

central defender Alan Baro. Many thought he was unfairly shafted by Kevin Muscat after last season.

Stupidly shafted I'd say, especially after the loss of the even 'betterer' Del Pierre.

I gladly take Muscat's mistake
.... with glee :vhappy:

I think Baro will have a point to prove on that note, as well as cement his standing for an even longer stay with us at CCM.

Baro need only look at the history of some of the other foreign visa players who've done well in the A-League and ultimately used that (longer playing period) as a springboard towards permancy after football with a visa or even citizenship in a country that they quite enjoy living in.

Given it's a fortnight from kickoff I'd say captain announcement as well.

Roux, Brama, Baro, Hiariej in the mix I'd imagine, anyone else I'm missing? Rosey?

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
I'm thinking Wouts gonna have the armband, which will suit me just fine , of course , they may very well name Stormy since he has seasons at the club under his belt
