The video of Valencia fans en masse, outside waiting for the team bus to arrive was frick'n phenomenal.

The kid must go to bed each night thinking his bed is a cloud & he's already made it to heaven.

Well done Maty Ryan, were proud.

Mile Jedinak still looks on the 'outer' with Coach Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace.

In last nights game, a 2-1 win against Aston Villa he was only brought on as a late substitute in the 82min for Cabaye, who Pardew is favouring over the former Mariner.

Rumors started back in May about a transfer to West Brom to reunite with his old boss Tony Pulis, who rates Mile highly with helping him turn around Palace's fortunes when Pulis arrived at Selhurst Park.

In early Aug Mile said he wont be 'pushed out of Palace' which I took that he was prepared to fight for his place in the starting XI. I think he might be better off putting in a transfer request b4 the window closes, especially with World Cup on the horizon.

Go to where your appreciated & respected, but more importantly where you'll be utillised.

Man of the Match display from Rogic:

Tom Rogic marked his Socceroos recall with a Man of the Match performance for Celtic on Saturday night.

Rogic was one of nine changes for Celtic as they defeated Ryan McGowan’s Dundee United 3-1 in the Scottish Premier League.
The Australian midfielder was voted by Celtic’s website as the best afield after an “imperious” display, coming only days after his first Socceroos call-up since being in the provisional 2014 World Cup squad.

Elsewhere, Mat Ryan made his La Liga debut and kept a clean sheet as Valencia drew 0-0 away to Rayo Vallecano.

Griffiths plays his part as Roda charges up the Eredivisie table:

Australian midfielder Rostyn Griffiths played the full 90 as Roda JC was a 1-0 Eredivisie winner at basement boys De Graafschap thanks to a goal just before half-time from Tom Hyfte.

The three points lifted Roda to fourth place after three games. Tomi Juric has yet to make the teamsheet.

I blame Pardew. He should have made it clear to Mile about his spot before the season started, Mile could have put a transfer request back in April to go to West Brom as Tony Puliss wanted him.

This is what happens when a player who's used to playing the full 90mins week-in/week-out sits around on his arse.

It's why Ange makes the point of 'player xyz need's to be playing regularly' over & over again. Not just for his (Ange's) benefit but more so the players development but most importantly of staying in 'good-nick'

Hopefully Mile comes good & then 'makes his way out the door'.

Not really, they made a shitload of money & knew the day was going to come. He always said he wanted to play in a bigger league.

That's why Brugge signed him in the first place , a player thats adds quality to your current squad and then improves to be later sold for a profit. Thats European football 101, plain & simple.

They're going to do the same with Bernie Ibini

Matthew Leckie scored his first goal in the Bundesliga & the match winner with a left foot screamer from outside the box in Ingolstadt's triumph at Augsburg. (1-0)

Bosnich: Ryan can be Australia's best ever!

gettyimages-460986488.jpg
A number of world-class goalkeepers have worn the number one jersey for the Socceroos, but former custodian Mark Bosnich says Mat Ryan is on track to become the best of the best.

Ryan made a big leap in the off-season when he moved from Club Brugge in Belgium to La Liga giants Valencia in Spain.

The goalkeeper helped Valencia reach the Champions League last week and is set to fly into Australia for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Ryan has impressed since joining Nuno Espirito Santo's side and Bosnich believes he can become the best ever goalkeeper to represent Australia.

"He can become the best keeper in Australian history, better than anyone of us," Bosnich explained to the Sunday Herald Sun.

“At 23, he’s already played in a World Cup. But more importantly, he’s playing at an even higher level and that’s the Champions League.

“It’s the best of the best, regardless of where you’re born. He’s right on course. He won keeper of year in Belgium and now he’s arguably in the best league in the world.

“At comparative ages, Mat is well ahead of any of us.”

The ability for Ryan to compete in the Champions League against the world's best, as well as a number of big names in La Liga, Bosnich believes he will always continue to improve as a goalkeeper.

“With the ball at his feet I can’t think of anyone that’s better than him around the world. He’s as good as [German ‘keeper Manuel] Neuer. It’s like having extra outfield player,” Bosnich said.

“With shot stopping, some keepers make saves that turn games and he’s one of those. We saw it against Monaco in both legs, especially the first.

“Another reason is he’s playing in one of the best leagues in the world. And against the best players, you’re only going to get better.

“Everyone’s got things they can work on. One thing that will come with experience is his decision making. That will lead to an ability to dominate the box.

“Once he gets that up there in the other levels, he can be as good as anyone in the world. He’s just got to keep playing at the highest level and stay in the side.

"Mentally, he’ll develop naturally.”

Griffiths goal proves decisive for Roda at AZ

Australian midfielder Rostyn Griffiths scored the match-winning goal for Roda JC in its 1-0 win over AZ in the Eredivisie on Monday (AEST).

The 27 year-old may have missed out on being called up for the Socceroos' upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, but he did his future selection chances no harm by netting the winner for Roda in 36th minute.

It was Griffiths' first goal for the club in his fourth appearance since joining from Perth Glory.
