Move Bresc. to the right win, save Emerton for the second half.  Kewell to the left wing and Kennedy up front. Grella and Culina as the 2.

Oh please no Kennedy! Whenever we play him we play hoof-and-hope to the front man. With Kewell up front, can see a lot more 'sexy' football being played. Would even prefer Scott Macdonald to Kennedy.

Go watch the game against Uzbekistan from last April.  Fat Mac struggles for 60 minutes in a position he's clearly not suited to playing in.

Kennedy is subbed on, scores 3 minutes later.

Do not like either in our setup. One can not score being a lone-front man. The other completely changes our game plan to hoof the ball to the big man. Unfortunately I know Pim will more than likely start Kennedy come world cup & I think that will be our downfall (especially against Germany and Serbia). The asian nations that we have played against are no where near the height and muscle capacity of german's or serbian's. Mertesacker and Vidic wouldn't give Kennedy a sniff in June & let's face it, he's not that great of a player with the ball on the ground.

Now go back to the Ireland game & we literally tore them apart. Fat Mac up front had some lovely link up play with Cahill and that's something that BigJosh could never provide. Would love to see Ruka or Djite etc given a chance in the lonestriker role before worldcup.

Reckon he would come to the CC .. move Wilko to RB....

why would we want an ageing player of rapidly declining abilities and a history of alcohol-related disciplinary issues?

Pleased about this, imo Moore has lost it in bounds. Would love to have seen Patty at first choice in the world cup but due to the injury i'd really like to see Ogmonster. Haven't heard of this Bosnar fellow before but he seems to have a lot of followers, other option is Milligan. Pim said it before, if your season ends in March, you will not go to the world cup. Durante, De vere etc are no chance.

Yes, but he never played for Macedonia. He had passport problems and then the coach was replaced and hasn't been called up since. So as far as I know, he is eligible. I remember him being pretty pissed at Pim leaving him out but I think he said he would answer the call if need be.

Move Wilkshire to right back, Culina into the DM spot and Emerton on the bench (spring him in the second half against a tired defence blah blah) and that's a proper solid team.

Hope Bresciano rediscovers some form though, he's been a bit average for the Roos lately (if he's playing shit, start Emerton on the right wing - him and Wilkshire can swap during the game as needed).

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced that the Qantas Socceroos will play an international friendly match against Denmark in South Africa on the 1st of June in the lead up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Pim Verbeek was pleased to confirm the final friendly match for his team's 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign.

Denmark is another World Cup qualified team that also plays a similar style to the opposition we will face in South Africa," said Verbeek

They are strong, physical and skilful which will benefit our preparation greatly.

Denmark have also drawn a tough group with the Netherlands, Japan and Cameroon, so playing against us will also be very important to them.

"Morten Olsen (Denmark Head Coach) was a fantastic player and is a very experienced coach, so we expect to face a very well organised and structured team on the 1st of June concluded Verbeek.

The Qantas Socceroos have played Denmark on one previous occasion in 2007 with Denmark defeating the Qantas Socceroos 3-1 at Loftus Road in London.

The Qantas Socceroos are currently 19th in the FIFA Mens Rankings with Denmark at 34th .

The Qantas Socceroos have been drawn in Group D of the 2010 FIFA World Cup alongside Germany, Serbia and Ghana, whilst  Denmark have been drawn in Group E with  the Netherlands, Japan and Cameroon.

The match will be played at the Ruimsig Stadium, Roodepoort and will be broadcast Live and Exclusive by FOX SPORTS in Australia.  Ticketing details will be released at a later date.

Tickets are currently on sale to the general public, through Ticketek (www.ticketek.com.au), for the Qantas Socceroos farewell match against the New Zealand All Whites which will be played at the MCG in Melbourne on Monday 24 May 2010 (Kick-off 7:30pm AEST).  This will be the last opportunity for Australian sports fans to see the Qantas Socceroos on Australian soil before they depart for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
