Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Round 3 - PINK Round v Adelaide

We also spoke to Connor and his family post-game and he was really frustrated at being benched and the end result. MMM and Monty need to have an honest look at what is and isn’t working within the team and go from there.

As has been posted already, the reaction to this result in Melbourne will tell us a lot about the situation within our football department. There needs to be a reaction and at least MMM was honest about the performance in his post-match presser, rather than trotting out the usual platitudes.

Thankfully we didn't hear how we were the better team and dominated possession.

Adelaide did what Roar or City couldn't, punished us when they had the chances. Goodwin is in some sort of form and Rowles couldn't cope. Kennedy was absolutely horrendous and some of us in 16 saw him run over to Goodwin after the game hugging him and having a laugh. That's not going to help endear him to Mariners fans.
That's f**ked. His attitude stinks.
You don't f**king

Cannot agree in the first 25 minutes the space between the lines was huge I pointed out a few times the gap between weeMac and Rowles was over 50 meters, this opened up the entire right hand side of the field, with weeMac often ball watching.

Rowles often had two players running at him at pace with and unchallenged Isaias playing thu balls to totally unmarked and free areas. IMO almost impossible to defend against.

First where was Tommy H in closing down our left side of the midfield like O'Neil was doing on the right side.... meaning Isaias was in acres of space and he is not a player to give that much room too... and then to add to he had even more acres of space to pass to .

Don't blame the kid who was had players at pace and in space all around him, look at why their centre mids had so much time and space on the ball and why their centre mids had 40 to 50 meters of unmarked ground space to pass into....

Missus spoke to Pain after and he was visibly gutted. Told her that he is desperate to start to stop these efforts happening. She said the loss and the benching clearly hurt him.

He deserves to be starting. Imo right now he looks better than both Oar and Weemac.

Weemac worked hard yesterday but Adelaides pace had him looking much less confident on the ball than in pre season and he has never been a strong defensive player.

Needs to be Pain and Oar over McGlinchey.

Pain is our only speed.

Do you think Izzo smiled to himself when the crowd got on Kennedy’s back.

As for Kennedy making friends post match. He better make good ones because no one on the coast wants him.

Surely ran to Goodwin and said “arnie was watching slip the money into my bag. It’s already open like my hands

He made the key save off Oar. Could of sparked us if went in

Izzo is a great shot-stopper. He was when he was with us. Better in straight shot-stopping than Kennedy (in fact as good or better than any current HAL keeper) .

His distribution can be wayward as can Kennedy's. Izzo's main problem though is he can't set a wall and when he does he doesn't trust it and drifts to behind the wall only to get beaten on his side. It cost us a few games. You have to wonder why that has not been coached out of him. It is all very well to be ready to spring behind the wall if needed but you can't move your weight that way before you see where the ball is going.

Yeah I don't think Izzo is a massive step forward from here. Need better again. Or at least A-League standard please.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
Izzo made 2 quality saves but he was pretty shit when he was with us.
Yeah! Izzo couldn’t set a wall to save himself when he was here, makes you wonder how fkn Nash has held onto his job don’t it ❓

Nash has had Pearce for how many years now? He still can't set a wall and suffers from the same problems Izzo had.
