ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Your right imo we haven’t looked unfit.
But we have had a few injuries. Are they fitness or bad luck?

Skill wise we look 2nd rate
Haven't played with enough conviction to look unfit. Using the tram analogy we haven't left the station yet so the ticket hasn't been checked.

I don’t know, the fight is the only thing I think I can say I’ve seen consistently for more than a few minutes.

I don’t think heart is our issue. But love the tram analogy after my typo :piralaugh:

For me it’s keeper - sub par
Back line - too much change, with not enough time to figure it out suitably in advance. I’m not convinced Cisse won’t do better again. He’s had several decent to good games imo so far. We’ve unearthed Millar and Rowles. But Clisby should not have been dropped. Golec needs to find form and is a liability until he does.

Next major issue. No control of the middle of the park. In modern football lose this, lose most games. And it’s not just Melling it’s a lack of a proper ten. Specialist position, None of the experiments have worked barring Hoole for about 20 minutes against a tiring side.

Strikers... Ross was not fully match fit and was missing the service - as well as the kind of possession that increases the likelihood of getting some, and is now out injured. Even if he’s back in five weeks. Will take him another 4 to get match fit. We’ll probably only have ten games left by then. Really wish Murray didn’t get injured too. This could of been his big chance. Ditto Gameiro. I think Matty has been playing well for us, but he’s not going to be prolific enough for us.

On a positive note, Aspropotamitis got 65 minutes in the NYL game and looked good. Tommy came off at half time and was seen with ice on his calf after, although he indicated it was nothing serious but I can see that being used as a pretence for him being left out for the Nix game. It was notable that the NYL boys conceded two goals after both had left the field. Tommy looked very sharp in the middle and Aspro looks really comfortable on the ball, so we could defitely use the two of them at the moment.

Still feeling particularly gutted about the result and performance on Friday and I am really concerned that the team’s belief is ebbing away rapidly, despite what they may all be saying in the press. Losing can become habitual and I can almost feel the weight of the last few seasons coming to bear on us again.

Not sure 2nd rate is accurate, but need to qualify as to not completely offend. A few of the guys have been thrown under the bus because of injury probs when they really needed to be trained up.

Not this years a-league standard ???? ............ would make us 2nd rate and that falls to mm and mc rather than the players who succumbed to having a contract waved under their noses.

When they can string two passses together I’ll worry about their injuries effecting performance
