ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Hi, I have never been to plum park. Will I need to bring chairs? Will food and drinks be available? Are they expecting a big crowd? Thank you.
Hey Bayside make sure you take a rug or something to keep you warm Pluim gets mighty cold mate.I hope you enjoy it.

He was number 26 I think. He looked good. Sharp and had a good touch.

Brendan Cholakian is trialling...? Unless I am mixing up my Cholakian's I didn't expect to see that.

Sounds like Kwabena did himself no harm, same with Powell.

Be grateful to anyone there that would be willing to give bit of match report or your impressions. Nice to see Roy'O appears sharp, Fab too.

Can anyone that was there give a bit of a run down on the first game as it seemed to have most of the first team in it. Interested to know what formation we set up in.

First half - 4-2-3-1;

------------ Ivan the Terrible-------------
Giverin --- Posco---J Rose---- Neill
---------Taveres-------Monty-----------
Ferreira----------Powell-----------Pain
--------------------Roy O-----------------

Ferreira often drifted in central with the 3 attacking mids playing with freedom against poor opposition.

Second half saw plenty of changes - Giveria played a bit in midfield, monty dropped into centre of defence and some other trialists given some game time. Pretty much a nothing match, Taveres looked sharp, Mariners (as expected) dominated possession, probably 80/20 at a minimum.

Second game was much better to watch, with squaddies / trialists vs NPL 1st/U20's. Good competitive game from both teams with the in-season NPL squad probably having the better of it in the first half, although went a goal down to a good counter ending in a tap-in for Kwabeena Appiah (Interesting to note on the squad list his name had started to be written in the contracted players list, then crossed out and written under the trialists - read into that as you wish).

Giverin sounds useful and appears to be a utility player as well, which is a bonus. I would love to have a genuine UK fullback putting pressure on Rose, Mickey and Storm.

I couldn't believe how quickly Pain can move his legs! Was saying to myself (ignoring the people around giving me funny looks) "who the hell's that 11, he's bloody quick." Finally gelled who he is. I liked his passing & centering. Don't think we'll miss what's-'is-name.
