ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Then Sydney FC after that, again behind closed doors.

I asked Shaun last nite of any others ? said "that was it till start Rnd1 Oct 7th"

There were whispers of an '11 v 11 intra-game' amongst the squad to be played as well.

We've got Melb.Victory next, but after watching Sydney FC 'barely getting out of 2nd gear' last nite, in their FFA Cup win over The Plastics, CCM's upcoming 'behind closed doors' friendly against Arnie & Co should be a really good indicator of where we're at.

Perhaps show what areas Okon may need to tweak within the team for us to get a good start to the opening rounds of the season.

I think this will be our strongest 11. Apart from Austin, Victory are putting out their strongest team too so it will be interesting to see the outcome.

Especially pleasing is that Victory have a far more settled side......we only had 2 starters from last year and quite a few of our guys are short on match fitness. Potential is there for a very good year.

MARINERS DEFEAT VICTORY AT AAMI PARK
Goals in each half for the Mariners sealed the win on Tuesday as both side's ramp up preparations for the upcoming A-League season.

Both teams fielded very strong line-ups, but it was the Mariners who controlled the majority of the match.

Daniel De Silva attempted an ambitious chip from distance over Lawrence Thomas but saw his effort go just over the crossbar.

James Troisi then went close for the home side but his strike was saved by Mariners goalkeeper Tom Glover.

A few more chances came for each side before Mariners' Spanish striker Asdrubal opened the scoring on 40 minutes with a stunning goal.

The No.9 received a pass from Antony Golec before lobbing Thomas from outside the area.

Besart Berisha and Jai Ingham came close to equalising, but Ben Kennedy - who replaced Glover - produced some good saves to keep them scoreless.

Another new foreign signing, Wout Brama, scored with a header in the 72nd minute to seal the win for the Mariners.
