ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Pre-game arrogance from the scum supporters

I'm not sure if anyone else has a comment about this but after parking the car and walking to the staduim we had a car of scum supports yell at us "you're not going to Sydney"...  I guess those words taste like bitter defeat.  I wouldn't know being a Mariners supporter and all...

Anyone else have any pre-game words that the scummers can eat?

Don't forget, whoever gets in to the Grand Final with the Mariners will be going to Asia too.  Queensland and Newcastle are playing for a place in Asia 2009.  Scumcastle could possibly be going to Asia too.  Hopfully the Mariners have crushed their spirit so much that Queensland will walk all over them.

Exactly. Go Queensland! There's something you'll never hear me say normally.

I think I'd fear Queensland more than Newcastle on the 24th.

We've now 210 mins of immediate experience in how to beat Newcastle - 90 of outplaying them, unrewarded and then 120 of walloping them.

personally I dont care who we play, they are as good as each other and our destiny is in our own hands now. Its up to us to rise, not up to the other team to crumble

Queensland are a good team, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that if we have to lose I'd rather do it to the Roar than the Scum. Plus, it would be nice to finally be 100% right when we sing 'YOU'RE NOT GOING TO ASIA- BUT WE ARE!' to the Scummers.

Well put - I think they'd both give us a sod of a challenge....although, if we're on top of our game, I'd still be confident either way.

There was a Newcastle fan walking through the leagues club holding his Jets scarf and sarcastically saying good luck against Queensland. Isn't Karma a funny thing.  I would love for Queensland to win on the weekend. Firstly I hate Newcastle. Secondly I believe that the neutrals in the crowd would get behind us and obviously the away support would be a lot less. Queensland have also been the 2nd best team in the comp for the majority of the season and I think deserve it more.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
I was walking down to the club before the game and 7 or 8 boguns in there stolen mobile home...sorry....rented mini bus,  gave me lotsa lip for about 50 yards, they then pulled up at the club and the guards wouldnt let 'em in cause they had open containers in hand....thats about as good as their day was gonna get......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

POST GAME DISGUSTING/SHAMEFUL/FOUL/OFFENSIVE/DISGRACFUL/PUTIRD BEHAVIOUR FROM  MARINER FANS!

Peter Neville and son Daniel, 14, of Metford, say their trip to Gosford's Bluetongue Stadium was tarnished when some Central Coast Mariners fans harassed them.

Daniel caught one of Danny Vukovic's gloves, which the Central Coast goalkeeper had thrown into the crowd at the match's end.

Mariners supporters swamped Daniel in the excitement. He said some persisted, tugging at the glove and saying he did not deserve the memento because he was a Newcastle Jets fan.

Mr Neville said he was disgusted when several men yelled abuse at his son, but then feared for their safety when one of the men threatened them.

"We actually felt quite threatened, that we were going to be physically hurt."

A police officer intervened and security staff escorted them out of the stadium.

It was a poor end to what was a special match for the pair the first Daniel had been well enough to attend since completing chemotherapy for a brain tumour.

AND YOU GUYS GIVE US A BAD RAP, GEE WAKE-UP .

SHAMEFUL!
PS: WHY DID THE MODS DELETE THE THREAD SET-UP FOR THIS?

^ When did that happen? Where abouts?

I didn't see Danny throw his gloves into the crowd. Kwassie threw his shoes.

I doubt it was any REAL Mariner fan who would try and steal a momento from a 14 year old kid.

f**k off.  As I said in the other thread, you nearly has a good issue there, but you destroyed it with your f**ktardness.

How would any of them know about the brain tumour?  Answer me that you little tosser!!

That is COMPLETELY irrelevant to judging those actions from a moral basis.

I'm not condoning what happened by any means, but if you're going to discuss it at least discuss it reasonably, and turn caps lock off, if you're puny, half-an-IQ-point-brain can handle that.

There's elements in each group of supporters who act like tossers - usually they're not part of any supporters group.

Straight from, maybe?

A link, perhaps may help? I just checked the Telegraph and the closest thing I found was a 14 year old boy in Baghdad who was served poisoned cake at a Soccer match...

I still refuse to believe that someone would take something from a 14 year old boy, I really do.

Bloody scum fans are incapable of posting a link (or thinking up a decent user name), but I guess thats what happens when you've got to leave the trailer park and go to the net-cafe to read the forums.

Here is the link at the totally unbiased NEWCASTLE Herald: http://theherald.yourguide.com.au/articles/1180521.html?src=topstories

In the meantime, the Mariners crowd were generally very well behaved:
Six people were ejected from the stadium during the game, an "amazingly minuscule amount" given the near-capacity crowd, Mr Gorman said.

What's the tumor got to do with it anyway?
At least two people on this forum have had treatment for tumors and don't ask for special consideration.

I wouldn't use the Daily Telegraph as a reference for reliable information.
