ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

New Mariners Coach?

With all his experience now Arnold would make an excellent A-League coach despite his Spirit history almost a decade ago.

Kosmina would be an unmitigated disaster. We would be pumping in the first season but then it would be FAIL.

I agree with mick. At this level with his experience he would be very, very capable and far superior to most if not every other HAL coach. Don't confuse his NT coaching history with him (possibly, maybe, who knows) now coaching a HAL club. Two very different animals.

If its true, and if its Arnoldout, CCM will have officially lost the plot.

Simple reason is that the man is a charlatan and an inept fool.

Ange Postecoglou?

Does Australia youth coach count as national team team experience?

oh yes please

+2

So thats 4 of us, surely that makes him favourite ;)

I'd love him here.

According to Wiki, he joined Greek side Panachaiki in March 2008 and left in Dec 2008. Not sure what he's up to now, but interesting considering that the article stated that this 'mystery coach' is currently employed. I.e. "he is already under contract elsewhere, but if true it would be a very encouraging development in his career."

The 'very encouraging development' is interesting too. Perhaps saying he hasn't coached at the highest level and this would be a step up. Hints at Ange IMO.

+ whatever we're up to for Ange.  Wouldn't be afraid to play youth when the situation warrants, and his interviews with SBS would be fun to say the least.  ;)

Actually he would not be a bad choice, if a choice had to be made. I think he has his hands full with the ladies game though.

Ron Smith is an excellent coach just quietly. Not his fault he had to work in such circs in Perth.

The football they tried to play was good stuff.

As for Arnoldout, just f**king NO
