ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Let's put it another way, which other A-league club did Storm Roux turn an offer down from to come to us? And which A-league club is going to offer him next season? Jobs for the boys/ nostalgia that will cost us this season.

One of the goals was the result of his turnover.
The first one, he miscontrolled the ball and allowed it to go out for a throw, which $ity then scored from. Roux reminds me too much of players from our lean years and I really don’t need to be reminded of that thanks very much.

In fairness, there may have been mitigating factors, so he may get another chance to show he can improve and he certainly wasn’t alone in putting in a sub-par performance.

He is shite BUT we knew he was shite when we signed him. He would have been very cheap. TBF he has been slightly above what I was expecting.

I'm a Personal Trainer and have never used it myself but learned a lot about it and have clients that use it as part of their organisations or teams requirements.

It's basically to see how much oxygen they are providing to the working muscles, and while it's a good indicator of aerobic fitness they usually measure blood lactate and heart rate alongside VO2Max as the main indicators of how efficiently the player can get around the pitch.

It's quite commonly used for footballers

Didn't say it wasn't used. I wouldn't be using it as anything other than a point into time measurement. It has little use in decision making day to day regarding player selections.

Yes but covid is a respiratory disease, so it makes perfect sense to measure with VO2Max.
Again like I said post injury. Point in time measurement.
But I'd use spirometry as that'll give you a better picture of lung function. While actually training will give you a picture of physical capacity.

Are you Storm in disguise TB?
no .i've ragged storm before and i don't consider him good enough under normal conditions.
but last week against $hitty .he held his own . that level of criticism he faced over last week is completely unwarranted.
it's typical of the shit players get here like stens use to get before. you all got on the same page as me .
