Atkinson has a better attacking touch than Ziggy by far.
And would also let Ziggy take a more leadership role in the middle.
I think Ziggy and Miller kept us in the game against Brisbane.
As it is I would have Miller in at RB and Ziggy, Fox and Clisby.
I think it worked better in that game than any other that I’ve seen.

But by the looks of it, Staj is trying to stick with Ziggy on the right.

However come January when GG, Tonj and maybe 1/2 others may be injured for example, it’s a definite possibility!!

While we are screaming for an AL quality Striker, Staj might get a 10 if no one is available. That pushes DDS out wide (or to the bench) and you have a midfield 3 of Kim (when fit, if ever) Duric and new 10.

I can’t see us taking on any more defenders at the moment, or if we do they’ll be depth not going to the top of the pecking order. If the plan was to bring Ziggy in to the middle then we’d have to try GG on the right and Ziggy with one of Fox, Rowles or Tongyik and Clisby on the left.

I doubt we would push DDS to the bench after Staj has gone to the effort of bringing him back in to the fold. But the main reason is afaik we have him contracted for at least 1 more season and the best way to be in a position to make money on him is playing lots of minutes and performing well. A lot could change with the regulations for next season so we may be able to sell him locally not just abroad.

I'm a big fan. Easily the best young RB in the league. Quality in attack and defence.

Yeah more the second half of the season I’d say but agree.

City have always been poorly coached imo and he stopped running at players and getting to the byline. Can’t know, but I reckon good chance that’s the coaching.
