ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Newcastle to join West Brom and Boro in the championship next year

Or provide one or both of those clubs an unlikely escape route.

Seriously, I think Keegan's departure this season was scandalous. They did begin promisingly with that draw at Old Trafford, surely he would've been given a lot more time?

This could be one of the biggest managerial appointment f**k ups ever.......

Or it could be a stroke of genius!

The proof will be in the pudding, which wont set for another 8 rounds....

Keegan walked because he didnt have control over the teams transfer policy and Wise gave him players he didnt want. Wise was the major problem and with him leaving it starts as a new dawn for this club.

The worst case scenario is another Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday or Nottingham Forest. Leicester and Derby come to mind too. All of whom made terrible financial and football decisions and have paid for it ever since.

I wonder how long until they're singing "you don't know wot yer dooin"

Next week probably going by that performance against Spurs.

They haven't even had the benefit of a couple of weeks "new manager syndrome".

Apparently, none of their players contracts have a wage reduction clause if they go down to the CCC.

Relegation would f**k them (possibly Leeds style).

Players like Owen, Martins, Collocini, Nolan and probably Damien Duff would be picked up by another club surely? The rest, well.....lets see.....hate to be a Newcastle supporter these days

Yes because once these players go............no quick promotion back to the epl.

After watching them lately I can't see them escaping.

This sort of chaos and mismanagement is NOTHING new in Newcastle United history. But will the consequences of relegation this time be even more catastrophic than they had been in 1961, 1978 or 1989? In each of those it took more than a few years for Newcastle to bounce back.

The roots of all of this go back to the day Kevin Keegan walked out the first time round, and when Kenny Dalglish got rid of players like David Ginola, Les Ferdinand and Lee Clark (whom the Newcastle fans absolutely loved for the passion he showed when he played for them) to bring in less than adequate replacements and "Dad's Army". Everything else since has just added to it.

Lee Clark was able to go onto to glory elsewhere.

Toon imploding was the best thing that ever happened to him.

He got to play for Tigana as a result

:)

Credit where it's due.

"God" made two game winning substitutions this morning.
And started with Viduka who was awesome. Please Pim make sure he is at South Africa because we need him!
Newcastle played well today and surley Boro will go down. We need to beat Fulham on Saturday to guarantee safety.

........................why??  He's made it perfectly clear that he's a c*nt when it comes to the national team.  Kennedy is far better at everything we need from a tall No. 9 these days anyway.
