ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'd just like some closure now, been going on far too long. If they're in just do it already, if not then let the other investors said to be waiting in the wings in

Looking at the comments from scott barlow and the russian owner at the smurfs...maybe there is a growing thought among potential foreign investors that the league is too centrally controlled for some of them.

Barlow said in the fin review on the weekend that they would like to see the salary cap, level playing field mentality in oz be relaxed. Some of these prospective owners dont get the control they want for the dosh going in. Its also things like licensing, intellectual property, some restrictive elements of participation agreements that turns some off. If they are laying down money, it needs to be more independently structured for clubs than we have at this point with a franchised league.

Not saying this applies to ccm's russian suitors, but it may be a factor. Along with complications around CoE ownership.

Until there is borscht and vodka on the menu, assume it's just more bullshit. There's not been a single quote, name or photo, so if there's just rumour from anonymous sources, best you ignore it.

Any idea of how much money this will bring to the club? Will we be in the market for a genuine marquee anytime soon?

Perhaps. Thank goodness we have the salary cap though. I'd gamble we wouldn't even still have a league without it.

If I was to have a wild guess, I'd say you're a scum supporter having a laugh.

I'd like to believe you Phantom. But I don't.

Elsewhere = one word not two - it would be much like writing "new castle" ;) Which it ironically has written all over it.

If you would like to prove yourself, let's see you pass the sackwhacker test.

In one hundred words, please describe why Joel Griffiths makes you want to :vomit:

In as many pages as you like, please describe why the Mariners are such a great team and club.

7 months on the forum and not a word on the team you supposedly support? Just unsubstantiated russian rumours?

Time to put up or shut up.
