ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Tell me about it. Very important month in the relegation battle too. Plymouth needs to string a few wins together or we're stuffed. Lost last weekend and all the other teams around us won. :-(

Not too long now until the toon finally win something. Championship title here we come. Then onto EPL where we belong.

Until you hire a dope as a manager, over pay for a load of crappy Bulgarians and go down a few seasons later

(as per usual)

LOL

No one has a god-given right to be in the Premier League. It was probably that attitude that resulted in Newcastle's relegation.

Understand that Michael but as a fan of Newcastle we expect to be in the EPL. We are still one of the richest clubs in England and Europe. We had a disaster of a year last season but well done to Chris Hughton and the players for turning it around. 1 loss in 19 speaks for itself. We play some really good football at the moment and we have the players not only to survive in the EPL next season but challenge for Europe. All we need to bring in is maybe a couple of lethal strikers. Maybe from the eastern european block ;)

and being run worse than N Jets may have helped a bit too lol
This is so true. But there is so much pressure in the north east to perform after the deeds of Robson and Keegan. Hence why Ashley got Shearer in to save the club. Everyone thinks of Shearer as a god but deep down we knew the team would struggle to survive. Ashley is a owner who doesnt know what to do with the club which always makes for an interesting sideshow.

Newcastle 6, Barnsley 1.

Heh.
Great result. Even better was West Brom losing at QPR. Really think we will win promotion now. 8 points clear with game in hand of Notts Forest. Playoffs could be interesting with both Welsh teams fighting it out.

Toon and Boro finished 2-2 after a pulsating derby as the Riverside. 11 Games left and Toon are playing some great football now and Nott Forest falling off the pace I think we are nearly there.
McDonald scored for Boro on his return to first team action. Jones on the bench.

Also looks as though West Brom might be headed back up as well as they are currently in 2nd, Forest have lost their last two games and its now 8 points between 2nd and 3rd with 9 games to go,
but i think everyone expected newcastle to be in the position they are in now, even though they had a rubbish season last year they still have a very strong squad and were always going to dominate the championship this season

Newcastle defeated Forest today to go 5 points clear of West Brom in the race to the EPL with a game in hand. United only play two top 10 teams in the race to the playoffs and 4 teams in the bottom six. Promotion can be guaranteed this weekend with a win at Peterborugh. The style of football the toon are playing at the moment is not Arsenal like but very good to watch. Playing with two out and out wingers suits and overlapping fullbacks means lots of opportunities for the strikers and central midfielders.

Survival will be the key next season but wouldn't be surprised if the toon had a good run early.
