Lots of cred to Pinko Julia ... from now on i will always refer to Pinko as our PM... why you ask...

One of the bogan interviewers from part of the axis of evil " Ch 7, 3Aw, & The Herals Sun" had an interview with her yesterday about the WC...

Well answered PM

Prime Minister
Transcript of interview with Neil Mitchell
3AW
Subject(s): Football World Cup bid; John Brumby; nuclear energy; trade union movement; health and hospitals reform
HOST: On the line is the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard. Prime Minister, good morning.

PM: Good morning, Neil.

HOST: Would seem our World Cup bid is in a bit of trouble. What do you think?

PM: Well, we're waiting for that result anxiously, which we will get early morning Friday our time. Mark Arbib, our Minister for Sport, is over there. The Governor General will be there, representing Australia, and we are in there with a great bid, so we're going to keep pushing on, Neil, and keep advocating our bid.

HOST: But have you heard of the finance report which puts us a long last-

PM: -I have heard-

HOST: -in terms of, yeah, sorry.

PM: I have heard of that report, Neil, and it's missed a very important factor, and that very important factor is, of course, we are in the Asian region, and by 2022 75 per cent of the world's population is going to be in our region, and for the future of football, for this to be truly a world sport as they want it to be, they want to see growth in Asia, they want to see more people watching it, more people playing it, more people caring about it, which is why Australia is well placed to help with that by having the World Cup in the Asian region in 2022.

HOST: Did I hear right? You just called it football.

PM: I have been calling football.

HOST: So what does Footscray play?

PM: The Dogs play Aussie Rules, Neil

Before I get too elated or too pissed off - the FFA bid team have done a great job.

Frank Lowy has been immense and if we win I pray that he is around to see it. He got us into Asia and now to within a whisker of hosting the World Cup. The guy is a legend. I've not always been a fan of Ben Buckley but he has done a superb job.

C'mon - 30 minutes to go!!

That's a big shock. Had US then us as favourites.

F**k, a no booze World Cup, that'll be popular.

Can't imagine they'll get many attending unless they're in galabyas and have towels on their heads. Not unless their budget includes flying people in and putting them up for free.

It'll be interesting to see what investigative journo's do to uncover any corruption in the bidding process now.

Almost double Qatar's population attended the
2010 World Cup. So every single Qatari will have to be involved in the
World Cup while also providing security, accomodation, etc for the other
1.5 million who will be needed to make up the numbers.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

maximum capacity of each stadium will be _45 000_. Imagine how much tickets are going to cost?!?

_____________________________________________________________________________________

In Qatar, alcohol is illegal.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Qatar - population, 840 000. Area - slightly bigger than Conneticut. 75% NON-Qatari population. 12 stadiums within 20 miles of each other, one airport, 45 degrees in the shade in summer. FIFA, hang your heads in shame.

Qatar? Really?! What the f**k is there to do in Qatar? It's the kind of place where you don't take a shit in the morning, just so you have something to do later in the day.
