ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

very professional performance, winning while playing averagely is a mark of a great team

Jackson is next level of Coaches, unless he crumbles somehow in the run in, he could go on to be one of the best coaches ever in the Aliga.

Hes just had such a huge impact so quickly, without knowing anything about us before coming over last minute
Totally agree. Lots of us with egg on our faces.. and I’m vegan so extra uncomfortable ? but happy to have been proven so very wrong.

Bit flat performance but got it done. Newy were pretty disciplined but don’t have our quality.

Should have scored 2 or 3. Balard needs to score there but think the defence got a touch first.

Defense was fantastic.

Think the extra days off probably let the body’s relax and we probably felt that game the most for fatigue

Scum were compact and tried a different tactic but couldn’t keep it going. I’m happy with the win as the pitch was awful and the ball skidded on hence the passing wasn’t great.

Don’t forget we have Thursday’s crucial game and I suspect it is in the back of their minds.

Did enough and that’s all that matters with our up coming schedule. We have to rotate and suspect that’s why Jing started. Agree Torres is playing within himself, perhaps we need to rest him for a few weeks.

That was hard viewing.

I'll take it but the scum did everything to disrupt us.

Off game for our attack, especially after seeing how good our movement was in the last couple of games. But we ground out the win, these are the games you win titles off.

I thought for the most part we looked very solid in defence and Torres still doesn't look fully fit. If he can recover and Edmo settles I think our the attack will look a lot better (and Alou and Poland to come back in).

I actually think Newcastle looks much like we did when Staj first took over. They are very young but Stanton (who I think is a very good manager) has them well marshalled and if he recruits well in the off season I think they will be an improving side next season.

They are trying to sell as many as they can, Taylor, TCT and Ap. Agree but I think the part time owners want to recoup some cash.

AP will be a loss but if there are new owners and Stanton can recruit well I think they can overcome it.

I think 37 points will be enough for a top 6 berth which means Wellington and us have already qualified for the finals. For those currently outside the 6 they will need to turn their form around or the current 6 will be the finalists. Interesting to note that SFC form is only beaten by us. They have snuck in front of Wellington on form and compare pretty well against us.

Sydney are the only other side that can stop us.

That was an arm wrestle of a game somewhat (as it was always going to be) but we got the job done and the away support was outstanding, great effort all round.

There were a few players that were below where they have been in recent weeks and I think there is some truth in the longer break having some impact but the pitch didn’t help with promoting silky football either.

Torres should have been hooked earlier (either for Theo or DiPiz) and the Storm/Doka combo left alone as it was working pretty well imho. Migzy still hasn’t worked out the defensive part of his game but hopefully the coaching staff will get that sorted over time.

This was a finals game for the Jest and they still fell short, whilst we got the choccies despite not being anywhere near our best, so we take it and move on to the big dance on Thursday.

It’s nice to be too of the pops this morning and let’s see how the Nix go later today. ??
