ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Faty red 33rd min 2mins after Pain equaliser.

Krishna looping header cleared off line but given a goal. Nix fan says they were in line and didn't think it was a goal.

No other interesting comments over there

The murmerings on social media are already worried about a repeat of last season. Lost all our preseason games and we've already copped a red card.....the fans won't tolerate a repeat of the disciplinary problems from last season.

Not making a comment on the losses myself - no sense getting too concerned over results in preseason - but just commenting on what perceptions are.

Haven't lost all of the preseason games though... If preseason meant anything, by beating the Jest once and tieing once, while only losing by one goal to the nux, twice, we're ahead of both City and Wanderers on results ;)
Which also puts us ahead of most of the other teams so there... People should be optimistic.... Or something ;)

Must have missed the win....but either way, the comments on social media are the same.
After last season though, a bit of pessimism is to be expected. Okon has a hard job trying to turn the club around with somebody else's recruiting decisions.
Especially when you compare the names in our team versus the names in, say, MV....it's like we're in a different league.....oh well. We've tried to plug some gaps with recruitment so see how it goes.

I don't tend to think preseason is an overly strong measure of a team's upcoming performance.

No it isn't. games should be measured by what the coach is looking for and if he thinks they're achieving it. When we've consistently won in pre season I don't recall people flocking to social media to post about how we were going to destroy it that year. Some doubt to be expected, but anyone who reads too much into pre season knows little about football imho.

But winning games is always better than losing.

Aldo probably paid the ref with some of the coin from selling tickets for $45 a pop.
Anyone hear what the crowd was?

Not really Dibo.
Compared to a few of the others I've read it's pretty sensible.
It would be boring if we all agreed on everything.

It was the Wellington Phoenix who opened the scoring thanks to Kosta Barbarouses who converted his own penalty 22 minutes into the match after an unintentional handball by Mickey Neill inside the box.

PO in the press
"We're happy with our performance, we wanted to win this match and that's something we've spoken about," Okon said. "We're not going to be happy when we lose, it's not acceptable.
WTF

We're playing City in Melbourne some time today. Must be a fly in, fly out job considering they trained here yesterday and they will need to be back early tomorrow for the family day. No posts from either club accounts so looks like it's super top secret.

I know it's only pre season but this losing streak must be absolutely eating Okon up.

Hopefully he is getting what he needs out of the tune up games to be ready Round 1.

To be fair we are traveling a lot to these preseason games with minimal prep time. We can't be in the best physical condition after all the travel. On a positive note. At least we aren't getting hammered every game.

From the Melbourne forum............................Was told by a member of the city staff that we were loosing 1- 0 , playing shit and Brattan scored the equaliser at the end of the first half. 10 mins into the second period Caceres came on, he started dictating play, we took control of the game and ended up winning 2-1 with Colazo tapping in a cross after Caceres created some magic.
