ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So thats Celtic, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund. Not bad going considering we are told he has already signed for Newcastle

"Ange is very aware of the youngsters qualities."

Oh yeah? Hows that then? You can see why journalism has a 50 ATAR. Just make shit up

Only turns 21 in November so wouldn’t be age related. Hugely disappointing we’ve let him go.
Not sure how he makes first team from npl2 and then isn't worthy of another year at least. Can only think he's signed elsewhere. But I'm no talent scout.

Not sure if he’s sorted his next move just yet, but I understand he was hoping to stay and the club didn’t come through with an offer.
That’s sucks a lot, he’s definitely good enough no question.
happens every year though at all the clubs. It’s way too cut throat in this country. Hopefully at very least he gets a well paid NPL gig

Disappointing if true. Got that ankle injury 20min into his A-league start and it really set him back. I thought his last couple of NPL performances showed he was starting to get back to his best after really struggling mentally to come back from the injury and dropping out of th eA-league squad.

Took quite a few games to get going again after his injury but was excellent at the back end of the season. Disappointed he has not been given more of an opportunity.

The other player who I am surprised has not got a scholarship (assuming the academy players listed on the mariners website squad page are the recipients) is Lachie Bayliss. Seems we are happy to persevere with Jok, who is fast and strong but lacking technical skills, but reject creative / technical players in Bayliss and McCarthy. Hope that is not a deliberate policy decision

Kind of fits with Mike Ashley's athletes comment.

Likewise, I think he’s pretty highly rated and has been around training so not convinced he’s been let go ??
Yes, wasn't suggesting he has been released but expressing surprise that he appears to be way down the pecking order.

Of the GF team, there are 7 listed on the squad page already (presumably having secured scholarships) and sounds like Cresnar to be added too. So 8 players in total but not him.

Hopefully there is just some trivial reason why is name is not there yet, rather than it being indicative of him not been highly rated

I do not have any inside knowledge etc. however it may not be all one way and that he wasn't wanted by the Club. These players may not have wanted to go on a scholarship as I'm imagining the money is not great. If I was 20 or 21 I can only feel a scholarship would not be all that enticing to try and live off. I'd go off to an NPL team or try overseas (Asia) because if you play well enough you could always come back and maybe score a professional contract. Not everyone becomes a professional football player and some may chose to go about it differently to others.
