Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

THAT was why we need leadership on the field to calm everybody down.
They had multiple players unmarked because our back line completely collapsed.

of course the f**kwit commentators are literally saying that the Rowles tackle is one of the worst they've ever seen anywhere, ever, and basically making out like Rowles is the new Muscat.

All he did was overextend a clearance. Created enough danger for a red, but less malice than Hamill's yellow-that-should-be-a-red.

Same dickheads who are arguing we shouldn't have had the pen because 'its a young keeper on debut'. Because apparently the ref is supposed to consider that. God they're stupid.

There's just something really entertaining about Simon's first goal.

It's basically "f**k you, your wall can go get f**ked, I feel like scoring now"

I mean, it's to be expected... Remember when Rudan reckoned that Monty's tackle was particularly heinous because the player on the receiving end was returning from long-term injury... It was a shit tackle, definitely, but you can't play the game while trying to analyse the general life-situation of your opponent.

here's something that's a testament to the structure Staj has instilled in us - I honestly didn't feel like we were really missing Tom H. That's not to say he doesn't have an impact, but usually there's a big hole if he's off; that wasn't the case tonight

Tough call to make. He was playing the ball. The man ran into his path and follow through. Complete accident.
He couldn’t see the opponents foot unless he had a see through ball. Clean connection then only hits the ankle two inches off the ground, horrible accident. But CLEARLY an accident imo.

Not sure what all the booing is about. Given we're winning, the crowd could be showing a bit more class.....
It was about the send off. Everyone at the ground saw a player cleanly win a ball and then catch another players ankle two inches from the ground. Reckless yes. Malicious no way.

Hamills was actually far worse. Aiden just had the good sense to jump,

It was a much bigger lunge. A much higher lunge. A much later lunge. A two footed lunge. And he could see the player clearly.

Rowles was horrible, but it was clearly an accident as far as I’m concerned,

f**k the commentators.

Great performance. Very happy. WSW were dire but Staj has worked wonders.

Really going to miss ONeil.
Pearce was great.
Need to re-sign Jem ASAP.
Thought Murray was excellent tonight and hoping he’ll turn into a regular goal scorer like many think next year.
Melling was very good for the most part also.
Matty mom 3pts.

Doesn't need to be malicious. I actually think that Rowles just overextended his clearance. But it was very dangerous.

Hamill's danger wasn't from the studs, but from jumping to get the player's legs caught between his own in midair. Fortunately He didn't catch the legs as much as he intended to so there wasn't as much danger as there could have been. but yes, I think it should have been a red.

Pretty much agree with all of that - I just hope Staj can work on Jem's discipline (assuming we're keeping Staj). Murray had an absolute cracker.
glad to see Simon score a brace on the last home game of the season, and take a win. He wears his heart on the sleeve for the team.

Umm... Why the f**k is Pearce starting? Kennedy has been playing well.

1 game was excellent. The other games not so much.

Pearce was very very good tonight. His distribution was flaky but apart from that better than Kennedy.

Just got back home from the stadium. Still buzzing. I know it's early days but that's the most comprehensive performance I've seen from us in some time. Hopefully we can lock Staj in long term as the rumours suggest. COYY! :overheadl:
