ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

that's a deadset atrocious tackle. What the hell were you doing, Rowles? I can't for the life of me imagine why he did that.

4 weeks for this one.

Yeah... I guess it's a red... f**king hate it when Slater starts on the "It's a challenge he didn't need to make"... It's such a dumb f**king comment when you're sitting in the box and can watch the replay.

Tough call to make. He was playing the ball. The man ran into his path and follow through. Complete accident.
Probably one of the easiest cards of the season. No reason for the leg to be up like that, very dangerous. Not saying it was malicious - but you can't say it wasn't very dangerous.

That’s not a red card.
f**k this league.
Even for a one-eyed supporter, that's a bit much. Lucky he didn't break the leg. Airborne, studs up, right on the shin. It's an atrocious challenge.

It wasn't a tackle tho. He was attacking the ball and baumjohann ran into his path
That doesn't make any difference.

If ur second to the ball, it's ur responsibility to not have ur feet planted when a dude is clearly gonna win it first.

If you're playing the ball, it's on you to not jump in with studs faced directly at the opponent.

Baum is entitled to come in for the challenge - as was Rowles. But the danger was 100% Rowles.

And you can't possibly argue that he didn't endanger the safety of Baum

Honestly I can't help but agree with this... What the f**k is he supposed to do? Win the ball and make sure he doesn't touch anyone else?
I can't, for the life of me, figure out why he had to launch himself. THAT was completely unnecessary. But in answer to your question, if you can't make the tackle without committing a foul then yes, he's supposed to not make the tackle or suffer the consequences.

In this instance, he just didn't need to do it like that. Could still have cleared the ball without a problem.

There's been some really nice footwork by the boys tonight I gotta say... Probably one of the biggest improvements that, and hopefully a persistent one.

So if Rowley's makes zero contact that's just a very nice clearance...
Correct. Even some follow through from a normal kick he'd get away with. But a jump straight into the path of where the opponent is coming from with studs very high right on the shin?

In what world should that not be a red? I mean, we saw the damage it did do - and it could very, very easily have been much worse.

you know, there's no reason for us to be playing like this.
Matty Simon needed to show some leadership, calm the players down, slow the game down and control the tempo of the game

I have heard tell that there was a time once, now long past, when a football game would finish with 22 players on the pitch...
