ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The thing is...would one or two decent signings make any real difference at the moment? It may, but the Ross and Oar signings didn't.
Even exciting Jan window news won't be enough to bring back much hope now We need some solid performances and points on the board and nothing else will do.

Actually I did just think of something - a new owner/s or at least major investors coming in.
With the restructuring of FFA I do have slim hopes in that quarter

I don’t think the ross/oar disappointment was the reason for the season failure to date. It is the gameiro/ aspro no show that has stopped the formation of an effective attack and defense balance that was planned. This ..... it now appears to be management’s lack of suitable staff and bolt’s deflection of concentration in that area.

New owner could be a deeper hole than charlesworth.

I don't think investing in some injured or players on the outer is a bad strategy in a capped league if you get them for the right price, but we've invested in some NPL players, some players on the outer from former clubs, some players that are past it and were never going to be what we wanted them to be and still somehow we havent managed to load up our first team talent like Sydney FC did. If we're spending the cap we haven't done so wisely.

If you have someone like Clarkie and Nealon it's worth the risk. Not sure about our backroom staff yet.

After a big family weekend, I have only just managed to listen to MM’s presser and my immediate pickup was his disassociation with the situation but using the terms ‘they’ & ‘them’.

He is part of the club and by association has himself created another unwanted part of our recent history.

Whilst I totally acknowledge the strains that the injury list has placed on his ability to field his first choice team, the lack of quality clearly evident on the field is down in large part to his recruitment policy and training methods imho.

If he is going to trust in youth as he indicates, his first choices should be to replace Cisse with Aspro and McGlinchey for Shabow.

This. He needs to own his recruitment and tactical choices. There's been more than a few choices in both that have had almost all of us armchair managers scratching our heads, that's fine if you're winning, then you're a tactical wizard but when you aren't the fans will want heads to roll and not without reason. He might want to distance himself from our failings but I'm sure future employers won't.

'Dusting off of his hands' when what he really should be doing is
- 'rolling up the sleeves! '
..... the way Mariners of old would.

Wonder if we will get to see/hear any discussion on FoxSports 'A-League Hour' tonight at 7pm about the contentious offside ??

- they flat-out skipped the goal in the half-time talk
..... which I've never seen happen o_O

I know...be interesting to see.
Nothing on the Fox Football podcast either. It's been completely swept under the carpet

Bozza just said on THE A-League Hour regarding Wellington's performance:

- "The team always echoes the Coach's character "

Reverse signalling perhaps
