ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. this conversation has become quite bizarre

. almost universally people agree our season is too short ... from fans to players, coaching staff and even administrators - yet here we are talking about playing mid-week games so that our season doesn't get any longer ???

Morale seems to have taken a bit of a hit lads, this forum went from buzzing with anticipation to struggling to get a few posts a day.

Chin up, COYY.

Scum probably should have won that game.

I missed most of the game due to family commitments, so please don't tell me that... Unless... wait... If they should have won, and we beat them in pre-season, then by the transitive properties of my ass, we should be up for beating both them and Adelaide this season... Add Brisbane into that equation and we're on our way! ;)

As long as we lobby to be the away team for those midweek games I don't think it's too much of an issue

. the issue would be that you're implying other teams would voluntarily accept a mid-week home game and that we would receive some sort of preference to other teams - neither of which i would consider likely

Most if not all of these midweek games would ideally happen during the summer holiday window similar to Big Bash cricket, I reckon particularly clubs in the cities would benefit from them (provided a friendly 7pmish kickoff)

Cricket (especially the hit and giggle variety) is suited to being played night after night in hot weather. Having repeated short turnarounds when the weather's over 30 degrees during the day and over 20 degrees at night is easy if your game largely involves standing around or sitting down.

Football is a different game.

Your arse (i presume you mean your bum and not your Donkey) has transitive properties?

Can you help me and any other dim people with an explaination of the special properties of your arse?

Argh! Thanks, I always get that one the wrong way around!

Well... For one my wife thinks it's damn fine! ;) But that may say more about her than about my arse - other than that I'm thinking that there's about as much value pulled and insight derived from viewing those games as an indicator of performance this season, as there was in pulling that sentence out of aforementioned orifice ;)
